This is the first full fledged non handyman construction firm that I have used and found them on Angie's list. If you look at their credentials alone you would be amazed but sometimes credentials mean ridiculous inflated rates, flashy extras, only use their showroom and not meeting the quality expectations for the high price. M & M was nothing like this. It is a veteran owned company which is not heavily advertised and the owner carries many of those traits of Honor, Courage, Commitment, integrity and dedication to the job and holds his employees and subs to those standards. After having issues in the past with other contractors who don't meet deadlines and do other jobs while doing yours. I wanted someone who would be dedicated to mine and that's what I received. On the first day your floors and carpets are covered and protected and everything in the house is well maintained. The owner gives you a detailed vision of your expectations vs reality and how the room will look when complete. The finance manager is in contact with you through each phase of the contract and there are no hidden costs. Their foreman running the job is extremely skilled, professional and knowledgeable and we enjoyed having him on the job.The owner is also there making sure the job is being executed properly. I have already referred them to family and they will be doing multiple jobs for them. I trust them for the future jobs that I will have and am glad that we've found a competent contractor for our future household needs. Love these guys.

We hired them to replace an old jacuzzi type tub with a traditional soaking tub. The did the demo, plumbing, sheetrock, tiling, painting and tub installation in 4 days.

The company is a fraud. Work was incompetent and they didn't even honor their measly 1 year warranty. Didn't honor the warranty of the roofing material company. Didn't properly clean or prepare roof. Charged to repair a damaged area, but instead of repairing just slapped a piece of plywood over the damaged area to conceal it. When I wanted the warranty to be honored, I was lied to about the nature of the leak, and they wanted to charge me more.
Response from the owner
The work that the customer is referring to was completed in November 2017. When the contract was signed 11/13/2017, it stated: "Remove the rotted wood from the overhang/fascia, approximately one (1) sheet of plywood for the overhang and approximately ten (10) linear feet of wood fascia. Replace the overhang and wood fascia, dimensions noted above." What was written and specified on the contract was fulfilled. M&M Construction Specialist's project manager told the homeowner at the time that he did not have proper soffit ventilation and it could potentially cause a problem in the future. M&M Construction Specialist did not remove the plywood roof underneath, so there was no way to replace the plywood sheathing on the roof. It was not severely rotted at the time. M&M Construction Specialist also presented the homeowner with an option to replace his whole flat roof, but he did not choose that due to budgetary constraints. The homeowner calls M&M Construction Specialist's work incompetent, which is the first time this has been said in over four years since the work was completed. M&M Construction Specialist prepped the roof properly. There is specialized repair tape and primer placed on all roof seams. M&M Construction Specialist warranties work completed by M&M Construction Specialist for a period of one year on workmanship. Within that year, the homeowner did not contact M&M Construction Specialist with any issues. We have no email or phone records to reflect any contact from the homeowner during the one year period. However, the customer did contact M&M Construction Specialist regarding a leak after the work was performed, but it was 4/15/2019, not within a year. This would be one year and five and a half months later. The homeowner's memory must be a bit unclear about when he contacted us, but in a document sent via email on 4/17/2019 at 1:34 pm, it states the following: "...M&M Construction Specialist examined the property at ** ****** Drive on 4/17/2019 after Robert ****** called 4/15/2019 to report that he had leaks from his roof. Upon examination and speaking with the customer on-site, Robert ****** revealed to **** that a tree fell on a power line, which then came down on his roof. The falling tree/power line ripped an existing boot jack and a co-ax cable related to the satellite dish on the roof." The proposal from M&M Construction Specialist went on to say, "Damage caused by a tree is not covered under the warranty. In order to remedy the leaks, M&M Construction Specialist will seal the existing bootjack, make repairs around where the co-ax cable was ripped out, and put a new layer of silicone on the roof, approximately one hundred (100) square feet. " The homeowner said that M&M Construction Specialist lied about the nature of the leak, but it was not until a project manager went out and met with the homeowner, was it realized that the leaks were from subsequent damage due to a fallen tree on the property. The total to fix the above items was $389.26. This was the amount to make the repairs, due to the tree falling and hitting the house, and presented in a proposal. The homeowners were very happy when M&M Construction Specialist left the job site in 2017. They even talked about doing a deck when they had more funds in their budget. If they had any further issues with the roof, M&M Construction Specialist would have been happy to come out and examine the issues. This is now 4 years and 3 months after the work was completed that M&M Construction Specialist is hearing a complaint from the homeowner. Many things could have happened during that time, including severe weather, further damage, and dry rot from a lack of proper ventilation. If the homeowner had further issues, he could have contacted M&M Construction Specialist and we would have been more than happy to look at it.
