  I'm biased because I work for Jim and Tammy. Having said that allow me to observe that their shingle mill is a special place. They make a quality hand crafted shingle. Gone, of course, are the days when you'd shave a shingle from a log using hand tools. The Longfellow family, however, adds humanity to quality. If you want the big corporate, machine made look and experience you'll need to look elsewhere. For a warm, down-home Maine shingle purchasing experience go with Longfellows Cedar Shingle and Shakes!

  Purchased cedar fence posts and cedar shingles. Jim Longfellow offers very stout posts for a reasonable price. Jim is responsive and a pleasure to work with for my fencing and shingling needs.

  We purchased some beautiful 3/4 butt, 21" shingles from these guys last year and they're beautiful. Came pre stained. Very happy.
