They put a new roof on my house years back. I paid them in full because I didn't know any better. The first time it rained the roof leaked and we had buckets everywhere to catch the rain. We called as this was happening and they said they'd send someone out. Nobody came by. We called 2 or 3 more times over the next few days. The guy finally came out and he couldn't find the problem. They sent a different guy out and he said the workers left a decking board up that had a huge hole in it where it had rotted over the years. He actually showed me the board. In hindsight i should've taken a picture of it.They should have replaced all the rotten decking when they put the roof on, which was included in our quote. They charged us an additional $300 to replace that rotted sheet of plywood that they left up there. I recommend not using them.

Mrs. Haynes says that we put a new roof on her house years back. Although we’ve been in business almost 36 years, due to a glitch, our customer system goes back to 10 yrs. We do not see Mrs. Haynes anywhere. “ Years back “ that Mrs. Haynes is talking about is well beyond any warranty. But we are still very nice to our customers. We have a wonderful group of people working for us that are on standby and ready to help with any issues. We don’t monitor our self very often on Google or I would’ve seen this earlier. Again, I don’t see anything in the records and no one here knows or remembers Ms. Haynes. This is not to say we did not do any work for Ms. Haynes. We take care of all our customers and all Ms Haynes had to do was come to our office if she had trouble getting us on the phone. I don’t know who she talk to but she could have came to our office. We’re not hard to find and we’ve been around longer than half our customers have been alive. All she had to do was just come talk to us about it and we would’ve taken care of it. Ms. Haynes says the first guy came out And couldn’t find anything. Then Mrs. Haynes says the second guy came out and found a huge hole in the roof. And she had indicated I guess that she had paid us $300 to fix that hole. We don’t charge money for something we haven’t done. And not even 15 years later do we charge $300 to fix one sheet of plywood. We have serviced at least 9,000 folks in just the last 15 years. We have a lot of great customers calling us and at times we were very busy. We’ve had people in the office who would answer the phone and send out some of our workers to respond to any issues. I of course can’t speak to what may have happened in responding to calls 10 to 15 years ago. But I know the nature of our company is to take care of our customers even if they’re out of warranty we will respond. Sometimes people call us and it was not even us that did the work for them. I’m not saying that this is what happened with Ms. Haynes. But all Ms. Haynes had to do was to come in to our office and talk to us about it and we would’ve been happy to help her. This is why We are a member of the Mobile Chamber of Commerce and have an A rating with the Better Business Bureau. You lose your a rating with the Better Business Bureau if you do not take care of your customers. We have had an A rating every since we joined the Better Business Bureau over 30 years ago. Awful experience. When my new roof leaked the FIRST time, they came and said they fixed it. When it leaked the SECOND time, they came and said they fixed it. After the THIRD leak, I had 2 independent roofing companies come, take pictures and give me their professional opinion. I then had the roof fixed by a reputable roofing company (at my own expense) and haven’t had a leak since. A guarantee is only as good as the company. I had to paint 3 times. They replaced 2 roofs for me after Hurricane Sally (my home and a rental house) and both leaked.

The one house we did for Ms Marr we were not paid for a full six months after we did the roof. She was very busy and even out of town alot and she was very slow to pay. A while after paying us she called and said she had a small spot on the ceiling and we went and checked it out and it was an old existing spot and we did not need to do any work to the roof. And she has not called back since. The other roof, her personal home, we came out right out after hurricane Sally when she had many problems and we tarped her roof and stopped her from having major damage from the hurricane. She was very thankful. And within a week or so we had a new roof on a very large house. Then when she called A little while later we were still busy with the hurricane and our secretary had left due to Covid and so we were a little hard to get a hold to yes, but when she did get us we came out and she said she had a party the next day and she was already going to call somebody else. I said no need to do that. We put a tarp up and she was able to have her party with no problem. The tarp did a great job. She had more parties without any problem at all. We were quite capable of taking care of the small slippage of the roofing under the flashing. But she was dead set on getting somebody else and she had plenty of money so she could do what ever she wanted to do. We always take care of our issues if we have one and we have done this for 35 years. When I went inside Mrs. Marr could not show me any damage to the ceiling, floor, nothing, she said she had to clean up water and yes I’m sure she did but there was no damage. We were set on resolving any issues. On a very large roof on which 99% of it was in great condition we had to do little. It was just a small part under the flashing that we were definitely going to take care of in a full way. After we came out Ms Marr was able to have her parties without any disruption. She thought she still had a leak. But from the first minute I came out she was dead set on calling somebody else to come out. But there was no damage to the ceiling no evidence that I know of that she had any more leaks after we came out. Maybe she did but she did not call us. We were going to resolve completely any roof issues. There was much going on after hurricane Sally hit Mobile and I apologize for any delays. I know it’s frightening to have any kind of leak and I do apologize. Steve Cooner

Had a roof installed and paid in full - after that found leaks when rained on. Called Jeff multiple times he has called back twice and provided no help. Guess after you pay $20k they forget about you. So I had to call another roofing company to fix Libertys quality control issues. Would be nice if I could get my warranty money back??
Response from the owner
During this time our office help had been gone for a while due to concerns over covid and we had 3 repairmen out due to illness. Unfortunately, 2 men passed away. One in May and one in July. Jeff did get someone over to Mr.Bleyswyk. We apologized, We didn’t go to deeply into reasons because everyone was having help issues. He had gotten someone else to fix the issue. I believe the leak had something to do with the chimney above any work we were involved with. We told Mr. Bleyswyk that if he had any more concerns please call us. He understood and did not seem upset and what ever the issue was it seemed to be quickly fixed and he didn’t mention any damage. Steve
