We chose Legends after getting multiple quotes and meeting with the area foreman who was very personable. They were not the least expensive or the most expense and had good reviews. We requested a basic job on a two-story home. We paid a deposit on the job and then were put on the schedule. Roughly a week later we had our first of FIVE different visits to get the job done. I am including pictures. Our work was completed by a subcontractor. The first visit left us with extra hardware attached to our home, mismeasurements, uneven gutter placement, a short spout directed flat onto our new roof, excessive left-over materials left in bushes and the yard and a downspout running across the middle of a sidewalk. There was a miscommunication between us and the foreman about where we wanted the gutters placed. We requested they correct the poor workmanship and come and complete the additional gutters that weren’t in our original quote. They requoted and stated they would correct the previous issues. They couldn’t come out immediately so the foremen came out to correct the immediate issues that he was able to address. The subcontractors came out a second time to add the gutters and correct the previous issues. After leaving we noted that they did not install gutter guards on the additional gutters they placed when they had previously. We asked they return and complete the work, the foreman stated that he didn’t know why they did it the first time since it wasn’t in our quote. After some back and forth they came back and added the gutter guards at no additional cost. We had an overall negative experience; we were willing to pay a higher rate for what we hoped was excellent service and were let down. We had a standard level of expectations for a basic gutter job from a well-known company. We will not be doing business from them in the future. The foreman did try to correct issues once we made him aware but the back and forth took several days in most cases and the end result is still not what we expected. In the end my husband still had to cut down some downspouts that were too far into the yard and reroute the downspout they had routed through a sidewalk.

Neighbors went through legend after a hail storm in champaign. Saw the sign in the yard and called. Met with a salesman who said he will lookfor damage if i signed a contract and basically tricked me into signing. He went through my insurance company and was able to find damage with them during an inspection. He went and charged thed insurance comapny almost 20 thousand dollars on a 2000 sqft home for a complete tear off. They even went back to charge more as materials prices went up from when they gave me a quote to spring when they were actually able to do the work. Several people who did not speak any english came to do the work some of them seemed young to be working. They left nails everywhere and several neigbors had nails in their tires. My car also had a roofing nail in the tire which they said they would reimburse but made me take the car and waste my time to repair. They also never showed where i was reimbursed. One of the workers shot a nail gun and cracked my glass screen door. Which they did replace after finding what happened on a video camera i have on the property. Finally they put plywood over my brand new air conditioner out side while it was running. Workers never asked me to shut off the ac probably because they didnt know how to talk to me. Which triggered my system to auto shut off. It is a brand new high efficiency furnace and ac which i had to call my hvac company on my own to have them figure out why it wasnt working. The error code showed the fan was blocked creating pressure and triggering a safety shut off. Video camera also found the cause (plywood completely covering fan). Would not give your business to them. You can thank me later.

Had a great experience working with Steve on our new roof and gutters. The first insurance adjuster did not take notice of all the damage. Steve was persistent in making sure our insurance would cover everything we needed replaced. He was very responsive and easy to work with. He made sure to contact me with any changes in the work schedule. We're happy with our new roof and gutters and would recommend Legend to anyone!
