We asked Rick for a deck and screened in room off the back of our house. He exceeded our expectations. Everyone wanted our deck and screened in porch when they saw it. It is beautiful! Rick and his team are professional and honest and we wouldn’t use any other contractor. If you can take protection and honesty you will need to hire Lawson & Sons to complete your home project. We have again hired them to remodel a house for us and again they are already exceeding our expectations.

When we sign a contract 8 month later finally we move in. And house wasn't completed I had to finish my own self a few things. When signing contract we told him and made it very clear, before that we wanted everything above builders grade counter tops flooring cabinets ex. We got stuck with cabinets we didn't like and flooring. Had to pay extra for many things we wanted. Concrete contractor didn't even finish, had to get someone else and even Rick lawson said this was there first time working for him. I think all his contractors was the first time.. Floor guy had to come back four times and still not right. Electric guy put light switches that some dosen't go to anything. Very poor subcontractors. Lawson installed wooden steps in garage very cheap and no hand rail i fell down them second day. Make sure everything is spell out before you sign contract or you will regret it. I would look for another contractor.

We apologize that we fell short of meeting your expectations. The time frame was actually 6 1/2 months that it took to complete the job and it took that long because the winter 2018/2019 was very wet. It was too wet to dig the footers for the project. After it dried up enough to install the footers and foundation and we got the additions and garage built on to the existing house, the homeowners added several things that added a significant amount of time to the project. Anyone that has done business with my company knows that my pricing is based on a couple of notches above builders grade. Customer chose to go with a higher grade cabinet and countertop that was not in the mid-grade price range. They were more than welcome to do so but were unhappy because they had to pay an additional cost. They chose to go with a lower grade cabinet because they didn’t want to pay the additional cost for the higher grade cabinet. They were also provided with floor samples and they chose the flooring they wanted. Customer was well aware that they could go to a higher grade product for an additional cost. The customer was not happy about having to pay extra for the higher grade product. As far as the concrete guy, yes that was the first time we used him and we were not happy with his work so it was the last time. The homeowner got a different concrete guy to do his sidewalks and steps so we gave him a credit for those items. All of the other subcontractors I have used for several years. Customer did state that after being in the home for several weeks that there were some problem areas with the vinyl plank floor that was installed by our flooring subcontractor. I sent them back out and everything was fine until I got another call from the homeowner that needs to be addressed with the vinyl plank flooring. I have left customer a couple of messages to have my floor guy go out and address those issues (even though it is out of warranty) I will still stand behind my work. He has not returned my call to resolve the issue. Customer states that there are light switches that don’t go to anything. I’m not sure what light switches that they are talking about but they are the ones that picked the location of where they wanted their light switches and outlets. Customer states that the steps going from garage to house are cheap. They were built to code with new salt treated materials. There was no handrail needed per code and customer did not ask for one. I will state again anyone that has done business with me knows I spell everything out in my contracts, for my benefit as well as the customers. Customer was given the opportunity before signing the contract to have me add anything that they needed me to add to the contract. I’m not sure how it wasn’t spelled out for them. Everything was built to code and all inspections were completed and approved for their certificate of occupancy.

Hires drywall, electrical and plumbing contractors who cant do their job. Has to be the worst drywall guy i know. When you get him back he cant get it right! Electrician never finished the job. I had to hire another contractor Builders Integrity to finish the job. If i was the owner of a company i would inspect the work and know its done right because its my company. Very disappointed after all the money i spent!! Im giving two stars only because Rick is a nice guy but needs to inspect his contractors work.

I apologize that we fell short in meeting your expectations. As far as the drywall is concerned there were several places that did need to be touched up with spackling. I did send my drywall guy back out to fix those areas. Normally point up is done after first coat of paint, but the homeowner used his own painter and no one called us to let us know after the first coat of paint was done. After sending the drywall guy back out there were 2 flaws in the laundry room and 1 in the bathroom that still needed to be addressed. I sent my painter out to fix and repaint those areas. I did send the electrician back out and there was a switch wire that was not connected that he overlooked. He did fix the problem. As far as the plumber is concerned, they forgot to stub out the drain for the master bathroom vanity. That was also fixed. Again, I apologize that there were issues but everything was addressed and taken care of.
