Great to work with…UNTIL you close. Our family stumbled upon a home that property pro was building. We sat down with Jason and really liked what we saw. They treated us well, answered all our questions in a timely fashion, and allowed for us to make tweeks to the house to make it our own. It was all great…until we closed. We closed in January and so there were a few remaining things to be finished on the house come spring (deck, rock siding on the front, retaining wall, driveway/sidewalk). First, the contractor that they have who does the cement has had to come back three different times to fix/tear up/and re-pour the concrete. It’s July right now and they are just starting to pour the cement outside our service door from the garage. The contractor they use for the landscaping/retaining wall took over a month to finish the wall and backfill. One reason it took long was because the excavator dug to far into the lot next door last fall. So when we asked property pro to come out and mark our lot line so that we knew where the retaining wall was to go and how much backfill we needed, they replied that they did not want to be held responsible. Next, they kept telling us that the work on the rock on the front of our house could not be done in the winter because it had to be above freezing for the cement to set and the rock to be placed, etc. Then in the spring they told us they were waiting on the guy who was going to put the stone siding in. Then they sent us down to County Concrete to pick out the color and shape of the stone that we wanted. FINALLY they finished it. HOWEVER, they put different stone on. They went to A-1 Rental and purchased some cheaper stone siding (not the stuff they had us pick out at County Concrete). They sent their own guys over to "screw" it onto the side of the house. They didn’t even put the stuff that we picked out from Country Concrete on. The stone that we got was all together different in color and different in shape than what we picked out at County Concrete. The gutters were put on before the stone was. So when they finished the siding, the downspouts were all messed up and they have yet to come over to fix it. So now we have downspouts at weird angles that look pretty shady on the front of the house. UPDATE: gave up and did it myself in July. They laid the flooring that we picked out. Problem was, they laid the flooring down over wire nuts. So we had weird bumps in our flooring. They did come and fix that. However, now the spots that they fixed are not flush with the floor and are peeling back and we now have gaps forming between the vinyl tiles. In December, we tweeked the mudroom layout and took the closet out that was to be in the mudroom and replaced it with cubbies to hang coats, backpacks, and to place shoes under. Six months later and we still do not have the cubbies or any place to hang our coats and to place our shoes, etc. UPDATE (September): we were just informed that they will not put cubbies in because it will cost them over $2,000 for materials and labor. That would have been nice to know back in January, not nine months later. So now they want to come back in put in a 4ft bench :-/ We like the house but have been very disappointed in the fact that we have to beg for them to come and finish simple, little projects that are left to do. Long story short, once we closed they were done with us. They got our money and that is all that seems to matter. Their attention to detail leaves very little to be desired. If you are reading this and looking to build…DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Look around. There are many builders out there vying for your business and who will pay a lot more attention to detail. Folks, it's all about word of mouth…ask around!
