  After hiring Kennebec Roofing for a couple of jobs for our apartment rental business, we had a windstorm which took off a small portion of roof. I contacted them to repair it. However, they informed me that they would have to charge $1,200 to simply tarp the roof to keep rain out until they had time to repair it. Being desperate, (rain coming next day) I reluctantly agreed, telling myself there must be some mistake, that he would charge less once he saw how little there was to do. However, the bill was for the full $1,200 even though we sent our people over to do cleanup which he said might help reduce the cost. He admitted that the price was so high because he was busy and it became clear that he was engaging in good, old fashioned “opportunism” (supply and demand on steroids!) Needless to say we will not be using him or his questionable ethics ever again. To be completely fair. He did high quality work on the jobs he did do. Hence my 2 stars vs. 0.

  Fixed a 3" hole in the roof from a branch falling. Had to go through two layers of shingle and replace a broken board, plus remove/replace part of roof cap and chimney flashing. Did a very thorough and careful job. Can't tell there was a repair.

  Great work, great price, honest quote, timely, responsive. Very impressed, would highly recommend, and would use him again.
