  I don’t typically write reviews at all but this interaction was so unpleasant I had to let the owners know. I got connected with K&B through the Hardy website. Mike reached out quite promptly. At the start of the call there were no questions about what I was looking for in an exterior remodel, but an explanation of how his company functions, which was fine. When I finally got a chance to speak I honestly explained that we have a contractor and architect since we are planning a full home renovation. I was mostly looking for an exterior quote on Hardy and did say that it seemed that our contractor has a certified Hardy distributor but I wasn’t sure how the contractor uses this vendor because this renovation is a new process for us. Before I had a chance to explain my intentions further, Mike insinuated that my contractor uses 3rd party installers and when I denied this he rudely said “then I don’t understand why we are having this conversation.” I have spoken to so many contractors through the years and never have I had anyone be so obnoxiously rude on a call. I am sure this is a fantastic company and Horatio seems like an amazing professional, but perhaps on first introduction Mike should ask the customer about their project scope first to make sure the fit is right. And please don’t bash other professionals that you know nothing about, it’s quite unprofessional!

  After a lifetime of doing all of the work on my house myself, I figured it was time to hire someone else to update the house's exterior and prepare it for its second century of life. After choosing James Hardy Siding as my material of choice, my wife and I spent about six months interviewing James Hardy certified companies to do the work. K & B was everything we were looking for in a contractor and more. After traveling to review jobs they completed over the previous five year period of time, checking the BBB for company history and visiting their current worksite, the deal was sealed. There were some details that I wanted to assume responsibility for with the project and they were able to accommodate my wishes. They also enhanced upon some of our details to make them even better. It's been three years since the work was done and we're just as happy today with it as we were on the day they completed the project.

  K & B did the siding and trim on my older home. Looks great and they were very professional. They had to spent a lot of extra time to get the trim just right with the curves on our roofline. Highly recommend.
