  JZ roofing has done 4 roof jobs for myself and my family. My parents roof is still holding up great after many many years. Peter and his workers always do an outstanding job. They are very thorough, detailed and professional. I highly recommend JZ roofing for any roofing needs.

  I am thoroughly impressed with the work JZ roofing did on my house. I contracted with Jack of JZ roofing at the beginning of 2020, but because of the global situation, I didn't have them come out to do the roof until 2021. I was hesitant to go with them at first because I did not receive a personal recommendation so I was concerned about what the quality of the work would be. Well Jack came out and did an estimate, and the amount he quoted me was lower than what I expected. In fact, another company quoted me 3 times as much for the same GAF roof, so I called Jack the same day to come start the project as I didn't need to look anymore. Him and his guys showed up early and started getting the old roof off. I live in a 2 story townhouse and my neighbor has a one story house that is attached to mine on the back so its easy to be tempted to walk on my neighbor's roof to do that side of my roof, but they did not do that and I appreciated that so much because my neighbor hates anyone standing on her roof. They covered all my walls with tarp during the tear off and cleaned up all the debris. The worked very quickly and completed the entire thing in 2 days. Once they were done, I could not stop looking at the roof, it was beautiful and they did it with such care and attention. If you are looking for a roofer for any reason, I HIGHLY recommend JZ roofing of Chicago, their rate was extremely affordable and their work was immaculate, they are professional and trustworthy. I will call them again for any thing I need done and I recommend them to everyone (friends, family, nextdoor app) I wanted to attached photos of the roof but my roof is high and angular so I couldn't get a good shot of the roof and the one I've attached doesn't show how beautiful of a job they did but it confirms that this is a real and honest review. I don't usually write reviews but these guys deserve it. You can stop looking and just go with JZ, you can thank me later. PS. You may not get them on the phone every time you call because they are out working on roofs, but leave a message with their answering service and they will call you back promptly, I've even text Jack and he responds.

  This is my first ever Google review and I'm writing it only because of how blown away I was by Peter and his crew. And honestly, blown away is an understatement. JZ Roofing is a *phenomenal* company. It's a long read, but worth it! If you want to skip, just please know that hiring JZ to fix/replace your roof is absolutely worth it! My husband and I needed an entire new roof after a bad storm in February 2019. We contacted our insurance and they agreed to cover the cost due to the damage. We immediately hired a roofing company in April/May that a friend had recommended. Fast forward to August, the company had not responded to any of our texts, calls, or emails. We actually had to threaten to go their office before we received a response, and only then were we told there were "OSHA problems" and couldn't complete the job (4 months after we had signed contract). Then, we found a 2nd roofing company, again, referred by a friend. That was September and we signed a contract. Fast forward to November, when that contractor called the day they were supposed to start and said "Our crew quit. We can't complete the job." This was especially frustrating because it's now November in Chicago and no one will touch the job until spring. Enter Peter and his crew. We called Peter after finding him on Angie's List. Within 24 hours, Peter arrived and gave us a fair and honest quote. He also patched the problem with our roof *FOR FREE,* BEFORE we even signed a contract. He did this "just because it's the right thing to do." Peter assured us it would work through the winter (it did) and agreed that we would be his first job in the spring. Fast forward to April 2020 (5 months later). We outreached Peter and asked him about a start date and he told us mid-May when the weather would be more cooperative. Mid-May arrives and we receive a call from Peter telling us he and his crew would be there the next day. And, they were. Unbelievable, really, given the ups and downs we had with previous contractors. Here is why I gave Peter 5 stars and why I wrote a review: 1. Peter's professionalism was nonpareil. They showed up early every morning and worked late into the afternoon (7:30am-5:30pm). Ten hour shifts, minimum. There were some that were longer. They left the work site *spotless* every day they were there. I mean literally, there wasn't a single nail, water bottle, shingle, tool out of place. You wouldn't have even known they were there except for the ladders that were attached to the house. Lastly, the job was done in a timely 4 days (which included our very challenging pitched roof and garage). 2. Peter's communication and customer service was also superior. He checked in with us throughout the process, often explaining and suggesting improvements. He called when he said he'd call, text if he couldn't talk, and delivered on what he promised. Peter was also there everyday his crew was and worked beside them the whole time (something that was very important to us). 3. Peter's pricing is honest and fair. He completed the work *on budget *(no extra costs) came in around $3K less than our other two companies. There is a labor and material warranty and I know that if we needed something repaired he'd be there asap to fix it. 4. Peter's knowledge and passion for roofing is evident in the work he does. He discovered that there were 5 layers of roofing on our home and was so excited to share the knowledge he had about this with us. He talked about former trends, materials, techniques, etc. He takes a lot of pride in the work he does and it's evident in the final product. I could go on about JZ Roofing, but I won't. All I know is hiring them has been the best decision we've made since purchasing this 111 year old house (so there have been plenty of repairs/projedcts). Hire them...you won't be sorry!
