  I hired james with j and k construction to replace my roof and gutters replace all the rotten wood etc. I gave james a down payment as we agreed on in the contract. Everything was supposed to be included as the contract said. First day he came for 3 hours and ask for more money. As they started he was cutting corners the whole time not replacing what I had paid him for and telling me it was our fault he didn’t have the supplies to replace the wood. He then started the roof and it isn’t flat it bowing up. Missing screws uneven and cut to short or too long in several areas. He had agreed to jack up the roof in one spot and it was never done. They never went in the attic until we asked about it and he had one of his guys mail wood to our existing wood. Which didn’t make a difference whatsoever. It’s one month out my roof is leaking. The gutters were hung going from 3 in gutters to 6 in gutters and back to 3 inch gutters. The down spouts weren’t even connected to the home and have fallen off since they left within a week or two. Water leaks out of every seem. No caulk on the gutters to seal them. As they were leaving on the last day we expressed how unhappy we were with his work . He cussed is called us MFers and f**kers and yelled across the neighborhood and kept asking for even more money. One of his crew came to me and said james has a habit that he needs to work on. When he left I called for an Inspection from the city the next day they came out and it failed miserably. The inspector said it was laughable to think they could get by with this work. And he told me to file a case against james the owner. Not only is the roofing and gutter job a nightmare. They whole crew he hired was a Disaster. I had a camera in my kitchen facing the back porch I left my purse on the back porch and one of his workers Paul took my purse. I didn’t noticed it with all the commotion until they were gone. I filed a police report and he returned my purse practically empty. Took all my MS medications I’m missing credit cards and other items that they refused to return. James text to apologize for Paul to save his butt. He knew about the purse I have no doubt. As the video shows clearly. I’m now having to get my gutters and roof fixed elsewhere. Because this company consists of liars and thieves I do not recommend anyone using them. It was the worst experience I had ever had and will never use them again as for my roof and damage that J and K Construction has done to my home. He refuses to fix the issue and I really don’t want james or any of them on my property. So it seems my only option is a to let the courts take care of it. If I could give a zero star I would.

  James and his crew did a fantastic job on the renovations in our home. They were all friendly, professional and paid attention to the details which really impressed us. We will be using JK Construction for all of our remodeling project needs. They deserve 10 stars!😁

  I highly recommend JK Construction. These are honest hard working guys. They just put a new roof on my double wide. It looks fantastic!! Also put a new roof on an old shed and did some great looking lattice work for me. They are very reasonable. I give them a 5 star plus!!
