  I hired Imperial Roofing to replace exterior molding on my roof and replace my roof. Seven months later the work is uncompleted. The molding isn't done. The roof leaks. They never finished painting. Dozens of emails and texts later, I'm left with no recourse but to take them to small claims court.

  Yes, Imperial was hired to replace a roofing system at Mr. Decorte's residence which involved some fabrication of the crown molding at the front of his home. Please note this property is in a historic district of Jersey City. When working in these areas we have to take specific steps and acquire different approvals from historic, zoning and the building department. We did have an onsite meeting with Dan W from historic (which Mr. Decorte did not attend) where Dan explained the need to keep the authenticity of the property. He stated we had to have the crown molding fabricated to the exact wood, shape and style as the original. Originally we did have a fabricator on hand who was going to take care of the molding for us but he fell sick and was later disgnosised with Parkinsons disease and had to stop working due to his health issues. All of which Mr. Decorte was made aware of. Since then it has been a difficult time trying to find another fabricator. Due to Covid many contractors are closed, making it very hard to locate someone. I have even tried out of state and still no luck. All has been explained to Mr. Decorte. I even had another customer with a similar situation, (not in historic) but he and his wife wanted to keep the authentic look on their home. They took it upon themselves and started helping me look for fabricators and when they saw how difficult it was to locate someone they decided to go another route and finalize their project. Unfortunately the same can not be done at Mr. Decorte's due to the fact that he is in a hisrotic area. Please note we are doing the best we can to finish this project. We want this finalized just as much as Mr. Decorte does.

  We had a leaking roof on a brownstone that had to be replaced. Mike and Jasmine were so easy to work with. They did what they said they would do, the job was done quickly, and we thought their prices were competitive compared to other estimates we received. Satisfied customer.

  I can’t say enough positive about Mike and his crew from Imperial Roofing in Jersey City! I’m currently in the process of renovating a 2 family brick row house in Downtown Newark. After removing 4 layers of falling down ceiling on the 2nd Floor, I discovered I had leaks in well over a half dozen spots in the roof above. We got a couple good rainstorms and the water was just pouring in. After reading several other positive reviews on Google, I decided to give them a call. Mike’s wife Jasmine sent someone out within a couple days to assess my situation, and the estimate they came up with was very fair. Mike and his guys came in like a hurricane, and within 2 days flat had removed and disposed of multiple layers of old, damaged roofing, repaired all damaged/rotten spots in the wood decking, fully insulated, and torched down a brand new roof! They also installed a new down spout so that the water would drain off the roof properly and not pool going forward. His guys thoroughly cleaned the worksite so when they were done, you’d hardly know they were there at all. If you own a building in the Jersey City - Newark - Hoboken area, and are in need of a new roof or any kind of roof repair, Imperial Roofing is the go-to company to call.
