  I am updating my review from 2 yrs ago...I wasn't going to address this issue any further since the company basically lied in their response to my previous review, but I have bad issues and this company has not returned my calls. I've been calling for a week now. Here is my latest.... In the companies response they stated "I chose not to replace the skylight" not correct, I was told they would use the existing skylights if there was no damage to them when removed and they were able to set them again, at no time when the company came back several times due to leaks did they say it was they skylight, they said it was from the venting near the area not being properly caulked. We had 1 leak in this process prior to them replacing the roof which is why we contacted them to begin with. After the roof was replaced we had 3 leaks in different spots. I didn't want to contact the company again so I had 2 other roofers come to give us an estimate for the skylight, but they don't want to do anything because they both stated the roof looks 10 yrs old and that we should contact the company because they should make this right. I cannot get any call backs from the company. I may have to take legal action. Attached are pictures and a text message from the other 2 roofing companies. I'm so upset by this!! This is a review from 2 yrs ago right after the roof had been completed...Had our roof done by this company and now we have 2 leaks that we never had before. 1st time came back and said the roofers didn't caulk some roof vents said they fixed it. Covered the stains on ceiling in living room and bathroom with kilz which looked terrible. Paid to have the ceilings painted only for the new stains to resurface again when it rained only worse. Alex came again and said it was because we needed our house painted. Wrong answer because we had already had the outside of our house painted. Covered the stains again with kilz even though we had already paid to have our ceilings completely painted after the 1st issue. Well we now have stains again in the same spots. Called a 3rd time, said they would send someone else out to look at it. It's been over 2 months and noone has contacted us. We never had these issues until they roofed, therefore, it's not because we needed our house painted it's because the company's employees obviously didn't do their job properly. We are still waiting and nothing. Horrible horrible horrible!!!!!! And we have ugly stains and obviously leaks that we never had before!!!!!!! Please find another company for your roofing needs!!!

  Hoffman Weber Construction works hard to satisfy every customer and to address concerns when we fall short. Although the building inspector signed off on our work, this home had problems beyond our scope. The ceiling was stained before we arrived. We used a good stain-blocking primer sealer, but it bled through. The homeowners declined our recommendation to replace the deteriorated plastic skylights, so we caulked the cracked seals around the plastic domes with silicone caulk. We did not replace the gutters so we could not fully address the problem where they terminate against the siding. When water stains appear on ceilings, it’s understandable to assume the roof must be leaking. Often the real culprit is interior air leaks, insulation gaps and poor ventilation that cause condensation. We went back and removed the soffit and found no evidence of leaking. We truly regret that we were unable to please this nice family. We are reminded that homes are complex systems of building design and materials. Everything is interrelated: exterior surfaces, windows, flashing, insulation, ventilation, air sealing, HVAC and maintenance. We can only warrant the work we do.

  My husband and I have relied on Hoffman Weber Construction for several major projects in our home over the last two years. This included a roof, gutters and downspouts with Leaf Guards, windows, garage doors, drywall work, new carpeting, and construction of peaked gables over the new windows. We were impressed with the quality of the materials and workmanship in all projects. We were equally impressed with how smoothly they handled unforeseen complications in each of the projects. We were especially impressed with the sales team leader, Mike McGuire, who worked with us on all these projects. He kept us updated on progress and explained and discussed cost-effective options for addressing unforeseen complications (such as dry rot). I rate our sales rep five stars, but the overall score of 4.8 stars basically because deadline overruns on the roofing project due to labor shortages. It is construction and we do appreciate all the hard work Hoffman Weber has done. I recommend Hoffman Weber to others for their home repair and remodeling projects. Dr. B. Shields

  We highly recommend Hoffman-Weber. We contacted them after the May hail storm. After over 40 years of home ownership, this was our first insurance claim. The folks at Hoffman Weber were extremely helpful in getting full insurance coverage for a roof replacement. During the process, we had a leak in our roof. We made a phone call to them and within an hour Alex was over and put a patch on to stop the leak. Lee, Joy, and Nick were especially helpful during the long claims process. They were easy to work with and took all the pressure off us from beginning to end. The roofing crew was courteous, neat and cleaned up completely after the job.
