  Took a couple calls to get them to return my call for an estimate, was giving them the benefit of the doubt. I got an estimate and even picked out the shingles and was told it would be about 3 weeks, completely understood given Derecho damage in town. I had not heard from them so I called twice at 4-5 weeks and left a message both times just asking if I could get an ETA on when they’d be here. He never return my calls. I wasted 6-7 weeks with them when I could have gone with another contractor and been done by now. I do not recommend. New contractor will be here tomorrow!

  Henning was recommend by 3 of my friends. I got a quote from Henning Roofing after the derecho. He said he could get to it around mid Oct. I said that’s fine I had no holes in my roof. Around the 3rd or 4th week of oct he called(a week after he was supposed to start no calls before still hadn’t even chosen a shingle color) and pushed it out to mid December. I said that would be fine I understood how busy they were. Mid December no call backs. a week before Christmas my wife called asking for an update. No response. On Christmas Eve I called and left a voice mail asking him to please call and let me know if he had any intention of starting the job so I could at least find an alternative solution. Still No return calls or ANY contact at all since late October. Do not trust your roof to this person.

  Looking for a prompt response, quality workmanship and courteous service.....DON"T CALL HENNING! They came to replace my roof....knocked a hole in the wood roof in my garage (and left their mess all over it's contents including my Acadia. We had to have them return several times thereafter to repair leaking along the seams and chimney area. When the roof was replaced, the workers apparently peeled back some of the screening that covers my gutters. This in turn has caused the shingles to bend up causing a low area where water puddles up each time it rains. This water does not make it to the gutter but instead is apparently seeping into the walls and down to the basement. We have had them come out to repair their shoddy work but have been met with complacency and total rudeness from the owner who refuses to stand behind his company's work (or lack thereof.) If anyone is considering replacing their roof in Newton, Ia...call someone else...This company is not worth the headaches!
