Wow! My experience with Hardesty Roofing was amazing! Sam Hardesty himself came out and did the initial inspection and consultation with me to hear what I wanted and to explain step by step of what they were going to do when their crew came out. His estimate was very reasonable as well. Brittany and Sharon at the office kept in contact with me to make sure I knew exactly when they were to come out and the crew of four gentlemen worked hard for two days to get the job done and correctly! Thank you all for the awesome experience and job well done!

Wonderful company to work with. Very responsive and very thorough. These guys are professionals and did a fantastic job in repairing our cedar shake roof. I strongly recommend them.

Do not use this company if you are going through your insurance company. They do not assist you when dealing with insurance company. I had damage from the ice storm where part of my roof needed to be repaired. Hardesty did not want to repair it, but wanted to replace the whole roof. So I went ahead and replaced the roof. When I asked for a quote for the repair portion to send to the insurance company, they gave me the run around. Promised to get back to me. They NEVER responded to calls and only responded to emails after constant contact. They kept telling me the estimator would call me back and he never did. Coleman was the estimator and he seemed to not have any customer service skills at all. They also over ordered materials (at my cost) so I had a lot left over. Very poor customer service. I would not recommend as there are plenty of other respectable roofing companies.

We do apologize if your experience with us was not up to the high standards we expect from our team. Communiction with our customers is one of the most important aspects of our projects. If we failed in that area, we appreciate the time you took to provide us with the feedback we need to improve that area of the company. The greater Richmond area has had multiple ice storms in the past few years, and we have worked with well over 1,000 customers, and assisted them with their insurance claims process. Please understand that we can only provide our professional diagnosis, but it is ulitmately up to the customer's insurance company to determine whether a claim is granted. Based on the age and condition of your roof, as well as having multiple layers of shingles, and a significant amount of damaged decking, it was our strong recommendation to have it replaced in full. Additionally, with regard to the additional materials that were ordered, it is customary for us to "over order" the shingles and accessories on our projects. This way, they crew does not have to leave the job to pick up any extra needed materials. These extra materials are not factored into the customer's estimate/cost, and are returned to the suppliers we purchased them from. In the end, we hope that you enjoy the quality roof that was installed, and the free upgraded extended warranty.
