  10 years ago I used Gresham Roofing for a roof replacement for a previous home.They did an amazing job and the price point was great! So naturally I called them to do some repair work on our current home. The estimator (sales) guy comes out. Gets out on the roof looks around and tells me "there's a lot of debri. This may cause the roof leak, but I am not sure." He shows me some images. One area certainly had a lot of debri, but could this cause cause a water leak? Maybe, but two other roofing company didn't see it that way. They were concerned about the debri on the roof, but belived my leaks were coming from an old Dish bracket and Pipe Jack. I have my roof maintenanced and it's in good shape. Other images weren't as bad with debris. He then showed me another area where granules have come off. This an area about 3 to 4 inches. A tree limb could have caused this and everywhere else roof granules are fine. He then proceeds to tell me "we won't know what's going on with leaks until we get into it." I can understand that, asked for a ballpark price point. He then proceeds with our roof needs to be placed within 1 to 2 years. I believe his goal was to sell us a new roof rather than repair it. I asked him to email me with a bid for repairs. I never heard from him. Two other roofing companies told me I have many years left on my roof. Glad I didn't trust Gresham Roofing this time around. Gresham Roofing did such an amazing job on our previous home. It's a shame they went from being professional and serving the customer. To making a quick sale. When it comes time to replace my roof several years from now, I would have chosen Gresham Roofing. But not now.

  Hi vineshk01 We were just at your home 1.5 days ago. We have been very busy and bids are taking us at least 2-3 to send out. On the issue of trying to quick sell you I'm very very sorry you felt that way. I just reviewed the photo's and they clearly show dry rot in the attic of your home. Biological growth on the underside of the plywood. On the back side of the roof you have a dip where water is causing your roof sheathing to sag. Your roofing shingles have granule loss. Granule loss does not mean that your shingles have 0 granules. what Granule loss tells us about your roof is how old and brittle your shingles are getting. You no longer have a uniform coverage of the asphalt. This is when leaks can start showing up and causing damage as you have already started to experience. Lester did plan on sending you an estimate for repair. What he said about we will know more once we open up the roof is we do not just guess at roof repairs. we remove the shingles in the area of concern until we find the spot where the water intrusion is happening. We will photo document what we find. If the repair turns out to be larger than expected such as finding dry rot or the leak is coming from a different location we show you the photo's for approval before any extra work is completed. We will not just install caulking over something and call that a repair. That is dishonest in our opinion. We also wanted you to be prepared with all the info. Roofers opinions can vary widely especially in this trade. I want to assure you we have never needed to make the quick sale. The reputation we have built over 53 years allows us to not have to be in that position. We have never been accused of being dishonest. If you read through our reviews you will see that almost every review under 5 stars is because sometimes we get so busy we will forget to send a bid. We do try to limit this as we understand our customers time is very valuable. I will send you an email with my contact info. I would love to be able to come out and speak with you.   Gresham Roofing is Amazing! They did a superior job. Lester and his Crew arrived on schedule and worked hard to complete the job, you can tell they are experienced. Thank you to Lester and his team. We are very happy with the new roof.

  I am so glad I chose them to do my roof! They did a great job and the guys were very nice and respectful of my yard. They cleaned everything up and even blew off the driveway for me. Lester was great to work with. He came out several times to make sure I had an accurate estimate and even changed it several times based on requests for different additions. My new house will need a roof in a few years and I will be calling them to do it!
