My overall experience with Gold Rush Energy has been fabulous. I originally started my solar journey with another vendor, but due to having a metal roof, found my way to Gold Rush. Their expertise with metal roofing was key because other providers do not have the experience to install solar on these types of roofs. The quoting process was easy, the prices fair, and they showed up on time for the installation. The installation crew was fabulous--they had a team of 10 out here and had the installation of the panels completed in less than a day. They had to restack my electrical panel to accommodate the inverter and this was done well, although we did have a minor issue with a breaker later. They sent Timothy McCray back out to the house to address that issue and to fully provision the inverter with new firmware. They also pushed through the PG&E Permission to Operate in almost no time at all. So overall I am very pleased with my experience with Gold Rush. And let me say again that all their guys are GREAT, especially Timothy McCrary!!

Kept me informed of the steps they were taking to install my solar panels etc.   Matt contacted me and Tom's crew arrived the next day.   They will complete job after inspection. I worked with Gold Rush, designing a Solar System for a new home project that got sidelined by covid.  Everyone there was easy and pleasant to work with, and fair throughout the process.  I will definitely use them on future projects and think there Solar Systems are a great investment!

Gold Rush Energy Solutions has by far shown me the best customer service I have ever seen.  I contracted with them for a home solar project on a manufactured home, through a contracted salesperson. Because I have a manufactured home, most solar companies won't even talk to me.  After several weeks of planning and effort put out by this company, our project was declined by SMUD for no fault of Gold Rush. My dealings with the contracted salesperson became strained. After a sharp email from the salesperson, both the Chief Business Development Officer and the CEO reached out to me to apologize.  Even after extensive investment by Gold Rush into my project and after it was cancelled, they went out of their way to refund my deposit and make sure I was satisfied.  Gold Rush LOST MONEY on me, and yet even then they were still concerned with my satisfaction with our interaction. This level of customer concern is unheard of in the business world today. I'm inclined to believe you can trust Gold Rush Energy Solutions to act with integrity in all of their dealings across the board.

Gold Rush was recommended to us from our neighbors. They loved working with them, so we gave them a shot. I'd love to say that I was thrilled with this process but I wasn't.
What I was thrilled with:
1) Ben the sales guy. He was responsive even to installation emails that I was sending because I wasn't getting responses elsewhere. He also did some detailed analysis that I was looking for when we were evaluating which company to use.
2) I let a gentleman named Chad know I wasn't happy with the previous conduit work on a Friday (their quality inspector Mitch also commented on the sloppy job initially done, and this had been known by other people in the company and it had been left unfixed for two and a half weeks). Chad and I spoke and I told him that I felt brushed off by absolutely everyone else I spoke with. He came back the very next day with another installer, Prince, and all the equipment they needed. They busted their tails for about 8 hours fixing the conduit, making sure it was minimally invasive on our roof, and also making sure the previous conduit entry points were sealed up prior to our next "atmospheric river" the next day. I'm so impressed with their work, and their ability to GSD.

What I wasn't thrilled with: I was excited to work with this company because they told me that they had worked with Serrano and they knew how to get submittals past HOA, and knew how to drive the project forward. I was the person driving this project forward, at least through Serrano.
1) The very first drawing submittal they did showed external conduit. If they had worked with Serrano before they should know that wouldn't pass, this delayed the project unnecessarily for another week+.
2) Then supply chain issues/delivery issues (yeah, I get it, not their fault). 3) Then conduit installed incorrectly.
4) Then they said they would fix it. I followed up weekly and kept being told it would be done for two and a half weeks.

Chad showed up I think to close out the inspection, but I mentioned that the conduit still wasn't fixed. Thankfully he handled it. I would give Chad and Prince (and Ben the sales guy) a 5 star review and the company a 2 star review, avg 3.5.

Had solar installed by Gold Rush Energy, they were fast and professional. Installed 40 panels and all the equipment in a day. I love that they are local and easy to get in contact with. Highly recommended!

Elected to consider Gold Rush Energy because of their amazing reviews.  Met with salesperson David Marcil who did a fantastic job to provide us with options and what worked best for us.  We required a follow-up regarding the installation and Mr. Tim McCrary was the best in overseeing a solution, which turned out not to be related to their installation.   Best Solar Company to consider.

The overall installation process and permit went smooth. I found out some of the panel were not working properly. So i asked them to check it out. They checked and said 2 panels are not working to their full capacity and they would place an replacement order and fix it with in a few weeks. Its been almost more than 2 months and no follow up calls from them. I called them 3 times every time i get the same response, we are waiting for the company to process. I came across all the good reviews the company had and chose to go with them to have a better experience but this is something i never expected.

This is a long review, hopefully worth you taking the time to read.

We've been working on getting solar on our property for 4 years now!  It has been a very long journey for us, for most it should not be this long but we had some interesting challenges.

When I started the process we had three different meters on our property, one of them is 3-phase.  We are now down to 2 meters, but having multiple meters added to the complexity.  We also had wanted to put the solar panels on the roof of a barn structure we have, but unfortunately the  building was not permitted properly by the previous owners.  We also have a lot of tall Ponderosa Pine trees on the property that created a ton of shade issues.

Add to these "issues" the fact that we use a lot of power, so we were talking about installing a large, 60 panel residential system.   All of these factors, and some others, made it very difficult to deal with many other solar companies.  Some didn't even want to talk to us.  We got into contract with one company and they couldn't complete the job, or weren't willing to deal with the challenges.

Then, when we were about to give up, along came Daniel Ramirez and the growing team at Gold Rush Energy!  They dove right in and were able to solve the last challenge we had as well.  Once we decided to go with a ground mount system we wanted to have a raised system so our animals could use it as a shelter in the pasture.  Most companies were not offering something like this whereas Gold Rush Energy had it in their portfolio.

Due to the multiple power meter aggregation and the removal of one meter that we had, things took a while to get through PG&E's approval.  The Gold Rush team were constantly hounding PG&E to get that approval done and giving me regular updates.  Once we received our final approval the installation was scheduled for the next week!

I was initially a little worried that this is a growing company, what was the crew going to be like, how was their equipment, etc.  They came on site with about 8 people, all very good work ethics, and some fairly new trenching equipment and tractors!  They had a huge raised panel system to install and over 400' of trenching to do through some hard ground.  I was impressed in how they got this project done!

If they can get through a difficult project like ours, they should have no problem with any other system they are working on!

Really looking forward to our solar production and seeing what our first annual true-up bill will look like, we should end up net zero with our efforts which is our goal!  Thank you so much to Daniel and the whole team at Gold Rush Energy!
