My husband spoke with a man who knocked on our door the first time. The second time another man knocked on our door saying they inspected my roof, but no one had ever come by to do it. (I stay home. I'd know if someone was on my roof.) I was told that maybe I was sleeping, in which case they'd go up and do the inspection without my knowledge. The only proof that they inspected in the first place was a pic of the company truck in front of my house. The entire initial encounter was strange and we said we weren't interested in doing business with them. Then, a third, different man came by and immediately did an inspection when I said they never did it in the past. We went ahead with filing the claim through insurance. He insisted on being present while I called in the insurance claim, which I thought was intrusive. He said they know the insurance adjusters so they'd send their inspector with the best relationship with the adjuster that was assigned to us to increased the chances of us getting a new roof (and the company gets the job, of course). The adjuster did approve the replacement and said a check would take up to 2 weeks to come in. Two days later, this guy is calling and asking about the check. He'd email me "make sure to let me know when you get the check in". The insurance deductible is triple what it would normally be because it's hail damage. We decided not to replace our roof after all and cancelled the claim. I got an email saying that he "knows" I got the insurance check and I'm using a different company. He reminded me that I signed a contract and I should consult an attorney about the ramifications of using another company. Very pushy and unprofessional. I wouldn't choose to do business with such a company.

This company has taken advantage of me after the flood. I initially called a friend’s friend recommended to me after getting estimates to dry out our home varying from $2500-5000. Now I know I could have bought the machines and saved myself all this headache but hindsight is 20/20. I contacted this mutual friend and told him the estimates and he said they could help me. Now I know that he is a family member of the owner of GGC so I basically hired them when I hired him. He said he was working under their license to work and was doing it to HELP and make some extra money. Little did I know how far this would take me. I paid $500 and the work was done and moved on. Fast forward 2 years later and I get a letter from an attorney saying the balance was $4000 and pay now or suffer a judgment against my newly remodeled and saved home. I was blown away. I had no contact from them saying past due or checking in on the situation or anything. They say I can give them a copy of my proof of loss for the attorney to review but I don’t trust them anymore. I signed a contract which listed my services and I regret this more than anything in my life. It has the $500 and then says below- and balance due upon insurance estimate. Now they have a number but this $500 was deliberate to get the work and then get their big payout with me being blind to how much they would want. My proof of loss doesn’t match the breakdown of their newly found itemized work so I don’t know how to compare. I feel taken advantage of and will never recommend these unknown faces to anyone!!! To say I owe a company $4000 and have never spoken to a soul there is outrageous.
