Buyer beware!!! I engaged Gallop Roofing to repair some issues with my roof that were discovered as part of a home inspection. This home is not my full-time residence, so I was not able to inspect their work once the job was finished. Since Gallop was highly recommended by my realtor, I paid them for their work once the job was finished. The invoice from Gallop specifically said that they had “walked roof and seal over any exposed or low nailed nails”. About 2 weeks later, I arrived and got onto the roof to inspect for myself. I was shocked to see so many nail heads exposed. I also noticed a water leak in 5 different areas. When I contacted Gallop roofing to come to my home as soon as possible to help repair the leak in my roof, and to re-seal the nail heads they had no sense of urgency and placed me #41 on a list. Two weeks later, when I asked how soon they would be able to come out to my home, they said that there were a number of other customers ahead of me and that I was #41 on the list. Attached are photos of the nail heads and the ensuing water damage after a rain storm. After numerous complaints, they have still refused to make things right. I would NOT consider hiring Gallop Roofing unless you are willing to get up on your roof to inspect any work that they do or if you expect their work to be done in a timely fashion.

Contractors & Service Providers Beware! Your review is appreciated but I feel that there are details missing in your brief paragraph, as well as misrepresentation of the photos and the damage. This project started originally from an estimate based off an independent home inspection with the caveat that there are areas not shown on the inspection that may also need to be addressed. The condition of the roof after you purchased and closed on the home was far worse than the photos and required a lot more work to restore back to protecting your roof surface. At no time in the inspection documents, or during your occupancy at the time the work was being performed was there mention of an 'active leak' so we continued with restoring areas of missing shingles, cedar shakes and ridge caps. Only after completion and after occurrences of high winds, rain, snow, and the combination of was there a report of a leak in January. The photos provided in your review show a ridge cap with exposed nails but, the ceiling damage is not relative to the same location of the ridge. The damage you have shown is in relation to the area shown in the images we have provided with our response. This roof section was missing a lot of shingles upon arrival and when the remainder were removed, showed signs of an active leak. The entire area in question was removed, recovered and new shingles installed - which is also shown in the photos. The other detail missing from your statement is that on two occasions we came to an arrangement to meet you on site when you returned to review all areas of question and resolve all that needed addressed. When you returned and followed up with us to schedule the time to come out and review, you stated it would not do us any good. In between the second call and the follow up call you had the whole roof replaced, essentially preventing anything in your complaint from being confirmed and/or resolved. In our business, offering a company the opportunity to make it right and when the company is offering the manpower and the time to make it right - that is good business. All of that was offered and accepted as a resolution to everything. But, to then replace the entire roof system and remove everything that was complained about before it could be traced and confirmed to be valid is not a good practice and can be seen as a cover up. In closing, I can only hope that your initial review and our detailed response can reflect to other contractors that it should not be seen as a "BUYER BEWARE" approach towards us, but more like a "CONTRACTOR BEWARE" warning to other contractors that may eventually come in contact with you for work at your location. As a business we appreciate all reviews, good or bad, as they provide us with the tools to see where we are doing things right and where we need to improve our level of service. In this specific case we feel that we met every level of service requested, we over delivered upon arrival by completing more than was original discovered and we offered higher level of service when we fell short. The only area that needed improvement was the solid follow through from the homeowner to keep their word and allow us the chance to deliver that higher level of service but, instead, you chose to remove all evidence to prove the claim in any direction.

I had some issues with strong storms/hurricanes blowing off my shingles for years. Not any more with this great looking metal roof. Gallop is the best in the area in my opinion. They completed the installation on time with no issues. and it looks great. Really good quality. Richard and Ben were both very knowledge and answered all my questions easily. They ever did a great job cleaning up when they were done. I can't recommend them enough for any rook repairs or replacement.

Excellent service! I'd dealt with several roofers before, but Gallop was the only one that walked us through the entire process, gave us alternatives, and made sure everything was in order the entire time. With something you can't see, trust is essential, and we felt well taken care of. Previous firms only patched up holes in our roof. Gallop did, in fact, repair it. We replaced old wood and maintained constant communication throughout the procedure. It was reassuring to have a supervisor examining the job throughout the entire process. Also, the service was quite swift. Our roof was completed in only one day! I cannot recommend this firm highly enough, and I will continue to use them in the future.
