  Dan and his crew just completed a complex update of our roof. We asked them to dismantle the existing roof and then work with a spray foam company (which Josh helped us find) in order to upgrade the insulation of our roof. This meant they had to remove the shingles, plywood, and the prior rigid foam insulation before the new foam could be applied and then the roofing replaced. The did a fantastic job! I was very impressed with the hard work they performed, the hours they worked (12+ hours several days) and the craftsmanship of the resulting work. Would highly, highly recommend them!

  You get what you pay for... Paul asked me to give them a good review on thumbtack so he is more than a guy with a truck, but apparently that is all that they are. Don't expect to have any type of guarantee on the workmanship. They put the wrong vent and even messed up the install on it so now I am getting water in my microwave. I wonder if the other vents are leaking? My roof was installed only a few months ago and they will not return any of my voicemails, to address what could be an easy fix. They either get 5 stars or 1, not surprising with their lack of follow through on service

  SCAM!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Issues (Confirmed by another professional roofer): - Barely put one coat on my roof left many cracks, gaps, and entire areas untouched - They lied about what products they are going to use, stating they would use a high quality long lasting products but then used a cheaper product that doesn't last - They left water bottles and all the materials they used on my roof, which is why I know they lied (seal bucket, brushes, coating broom) - Now that they know there is an issue they won't answer my calls and will not call me back. - You can't actually find them! They don't have a shop. It's just a mailing address so you'll never find them if you need to contact them. I hired Five Star Roofing of Pittsburgh to redo my entire roof. What I thought was a job well done for an affordable price turned out to be a big waste of money and no accountability taken to make it right. I ended up having to pay double (in total) to hire someone else to redo the roof correctly. They promised one thing on my contract but used a lesser quality product on my roof and did not complete the job correctly. I know this because they left all the materials on my roof, which then stuck to my roof after everything dried. They stated they would "inspect and repair all roof seams, perimeter flashing, chimney flashing, and chimney mortar issues but they did NONE OF THAT. I shared one before and after photo but I have plenty more. I've emailed and called them several times. As soon as they understood there was a concern on my part, they stopped answer my calls and won't call me back. Completely unprofessional. The reason I discovered all of this is because I am trying to sell my house. During an inspection it was brought to my attention that there were several issues with my roof. I was confused because Five Star Roofing of Pittsburgh had just updated my roof in October of 2018. It was only after I had a different roofing company go up on my roof to discover the poor workmanship and lies about what materials they were going to use. Please just do your homework before using this company. I may not get my money back but I would like to save others from experiencing this and throwing thousands of dollars down the drain.
