  We met with Joe about a year and a half ago to discuss deck plans. He was wonderful and laid everything out for us and gave us an estimate. When the prices for lumber went up because of covid he called and wanted to re-estimate to make sure we were still good with the price. Him and his team worked so hard through the summer and weeks of rain to get our deck done. We love our deck and loved working with Joe and his team!

  If I could give this less than one star, I would. We have had nothing but trouble from these guys since we hired them to add a front porch to our ranch house. I had written a very good review earlier just to get them off our backs, but because of continued problems with their work and their lack of response to fixing the problems that they caused, I cannot recommend them for anything. First of all, they started weeks later than they said they would, then it took them over seven weeks to do a job they said in their contract would take them 3-6 weeks mainly because they took two whole weeks off--no one came at all and when they were here, they would work maybe three hours then leave for another job. When my husband expressed concerns over the way the roof they were building was sagging, they put him off and said they would not be fixing it and it would not be a problem. Well, this is the fourth time we have had to call them back to fix it because it leaks like crazy into the door frame when it rains. Other problems that they have not yet fixed: several places of the stone fascia are loose and one large section on the front is ready to fall off. The railing across the front of the porch is uneven--one section is noticeably lower than the other two sections. A section on the stair railing is loose and this is after they had to come back and fix the other loose side. There is a permanent ridge in the middle of the porch floor that they "fixed" by hammering on it after the flooring was already on. It's still a long hump where it should be flat. They do not care to fix anything quickly or well once they've been paid and put us off when we complain by claiming that the other one of us "was fine with them waiting until the end of the month" when that was not at all true. They do not take pride in their work and their work is inadequate and they do not seem to know what they are doing. We hired another contractor the re-do our back deck and he was professional, completed the job when he said he would, and worked every day until it was done and the work was excellent. Do not hire Dundon. We sure won't again. We paid a hefty price for this continued stress. Update: As of 8/21/17, we have had no contact from Dundon's since August 5th, despite a one year warranty, despite our requests for a response. They left our roof open with plastic over it (see photo). There are shingles in our garage that they left there. The roof continued to leak into the door frame, so we contacted another contractor who has done work for us to look at the roof. He noted that there were numerous other problems with the way Dundon's had put the shingles on besides the ridge being uneven with the the existing roof. The new contractor protected the roof with a temporary covering to keep it from leaking until he can work on it. Now we are in the position of spending more money to get the work that was done by Dundon's corrected and they seem to think that we will let this go if they ignore us.

  Joe does exceptional work. He has done all sorts of jobs for me and I find him both friendly and professional. He always finishes his work in a timely manner and leaves the house clean and clear of any construction debris. He takes pride in his work. I don't think he would put his name on it if he didn't.
