This is the fourth time we've had a roof replaced on a house and David Martin & Sons Roofing are by far the best contractor we have ever used.  David and Jennifer's attention to detail produced an incredible looking roof that makes the house standout in our neighborhood.  We have a very steep pitched roof, however their work crew accomplished the work safely and efficiently.  They made extensive preparations around the house prior to starting to ensure that our pool and landscaping were well protected.  While onsite their crew was very courteous and mindful to cleanup after finishing for the day.  During the roofing process my wife and I both had multiple questions/requests that David and Jennifer were very glad to answer/address.  Hopefully we will not need another roof for a long time, but if we do, David Martin & Son will be the first one we call.

We first met David Martin when he did some repairs to leaks in our roof following the purchase of our home. We were really impressed with the prompt service at that time. We later found out that our roof was nearing the end of its life span.  Now a couple of years after his first visit to our home we were ready to tackle the new roofing project.  We decided to use David Martin and Sons Roofing and we couldn’t be happier with the level of service, attention to detail and quality of work! David and his wife Jennifer drove us around Colleyville for an entire afternoon to help us decide on the color and aesthetic details of our new roof.  On this drive, it became very evident of the level of service we would receive. They were extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions regarding the materials and were able to show us so many options and examples of their completed work. We were given samples to bring home so we could visualize and help us to decide. They especially knew about recent trends in materials and colors not only in the roofing material but venting and gutters as well. They made a recommendation for black shingles with oil bronzed gutters, and we took their advice and we love the final product.  Our house looks so much more updated with this recommendation. They really possess a great vision for what the final product should look like from start to finish.  Once we picked the materials we met with them to go over the logistics and after that meeting we were able to sit back while they handled absolutely everything. Weeks later we had a brand new beautiful roof. There were other items that were part of our insurance claims as well including outside door replacements, damaged screens etc. They coordinated everything to help us with our options and get everything fixed. They scheduled painters to get our garage doors and outdoor lighting painted to complement our new roof. Again, this work was performed with their highly skilled subcontractors. We didn’t have to lift a finger. David and Jennifer handled everything with the insurance claim and made it a completely painless process. The curb appeal of our home has improved greatly!  We are so delighted every time we pull in our driveway. David and Jennifer really took care of us!

David Martin and Son roofing did a fantastic job on my roof replacement job.  David visited our home quickly after I contacted the company and asked for an assessment regarding hail damage to the roof.  David’s findings were similar to our insurance’s findings. After his assessment, David sat down with me and outlined his plan for repairing the damage. This company has their customer’s best interests in mind. The repair project was oriented to make sure current codes were met and that we received the best roof permissible by insurance. Despite a miscommunication with our insurance, David’s team was ready to go once our insurance company was on board. The install team was quick and efficient. There were very few nails in the yard after the work was complete. After the roof was complete, the gutter team came in and quickly did their job. The gutters look great and are seamless. David did a great job making sure the roof and gutters worked well with the brick on our home. The only project that did not proceed as planned was the window screen replacement. Both David and the insurance company agreed that there was hail damage to our screens. Unfortunately, we had storm windows installed and removal of the screens required window removal that the sub-contractor was not willing to attempt. Thankfully, Jennifer worked with the insurance and was able to obtain approval for entire window replacement for all eight windows! Despite the lengthy process to obtain insurance approval, the windows turned out great and we are very grateful for all the work Jennifer getting the windows completed. The new windows are energy star rated and function much better than the old windows that were installed. David even worked with us to make sure the arches on the front windows were replaced at an affordable rate. We were referred by a family member, who was referred by a friend, and I am pleased we called David Martin and Son’s roofing.  I can honestly say we have the best roof on our street! I would use them again and recommend them to anyone needing roof work.

I called David Martin & Son Roofing for a quote on roof repair, but ended up with a new roof and seamless gutters!  The entire process from the initial meeting with David to assess what really needed to be done, to meeting with Jennifer to understand the insurance process, then having the crew work on my roof was seamless. They provided a thorough consultation, which included an explanation of the latest trends on materials and colors for the shingles, gutters and downspouts. They advised us to select black shingles and dark bronze gutters. Since we weren't sure we wanted to go with their recommendation they provided addresse of homes in the area they had used the black shingles and dark bronze gutters. We drove by those homes and really liked the look, so we took their recommendation. Their crew did a great job on the preparation, installation and clean up. My house was badly damaged by the huge hail storm in the spring of 2017. The morning after the storm we walked outside and just knew we were going to suffer a huge financial loss with the damage to the roof alone, we were starting an uphill climb and as new homeowners who had never dealt with issues of this magnitude we were terrified of what was to come. That's when we found David Martin and Son Roofing. David made himself available to meet with our busy schedule and was flexible with the time we had to meet, which considering the amount of damage in the area and how busy he must have been at the time must have been a feat in itself. He was so helpful through the process and made sure everything was explained in detail of what he and his team were going to do. He helped us make informed decisions on the products and colors we wanted and which would look the best with our brick, and on top of it they have a 5 year labor warranty. After the decisions of product were made, the process was very quick and efficient. Jennifer took care of ALL of anything to do with the insurance side, which was a relief to us because who wants to handle insurance issues? But she is a miracle worker. I was initially skeptical of all roofing companies but pleasantly surprised by the total experience with David Martin & Son Roofing. I met with Jennifer and David initially to feel them out and generally thought it was a positive first meeting. Then I interviewed other companies and circled back around to Jennifer and David again with the decision to move forward. Before we were even scheduled to begin the project, there ended up being a major storm which was negatively affecting a new patio extension we were doing that had only plywood and beams, no real roof of any kind. Keep in mind this wasn’t even there when they bid the job, but they immediately sent out a crew to cover up and protect the new patio area. That was a major positive. The fact they are the only roofing company I have seen that provides a Porta Potty for their crew is an important indicator of what they value, their team and their customer. In the end the work product and attention to detail was excellent. The coordination with gutters, garage doors, and painting was well orchestrated.

I would recommend David Martin and Son roofing for painting and roofing issues over any other company. David and coworkers had repaired our roof numerous times before the damaging leaks. At no time did he push a new roof on us, but wanted us to come to that “conclusion” on our own. For the 8 years we have lived in our house, we were never happy with the roof, gutters, and badly needed the house repainted. After a hail storm and leaks we knew it was time. David’s wife Jennifer “also an insurance adjuster” made the whole project easy. Insurance helped us with water damage, fence damage from hail, and roofing fees. David & Jennifer Martin helped us immensely. We had a leak in our roof which came through the flashing around our chimney. The roof of our new house in the Canyon Falls subdivision of Northlake, TX was badly damaged by tennis ball sized hail in the Spring of 2017.  The very next day we called my insurance carrier to set up an appointment for an adjuster to come look at the damage.  With the appointment set we called Jennifer at David Martin and Son Roofing.  Jennifer and David were able to arrange their schedule so they could be at our house alongside the insurance adjuster.  This is the third time we have used David Martin and Son for a replacement roof, the first two being in Colleyville.  And once again we are thrilled with the result. David Martin & Son Roofing (DMSR) just completed a roof replacement for us and we are very happy with the entire process and the people.  Before hiring them, we researched lots of various roofing contractors but so many of them recently opened up for business and that was unsettling.  When we noticed DMSR has been open for 20+ years we started asking around and the choice was easy.  It was the right choice for us and here is why:

Coincidentally, two roofs were being replaced across the street from us within a short time frame as ours and more than a few neighbors came by to tell us ours looked the best.  One may be looking in the next 1-2 years and asked what we thought of our roofer so I recommended he use DMSR should he decide to move forward.  The style and quality of materials stand out and they treat your house as their own.

The roofing crew they employ were great.  On time, finished the job quicker than the competition (with a higher level of quality in my opinion), and cleaned everything up really well.  They were very impressive.

While replacing my patio/deck roof in the back, it was determined some of the underlying wood was rotten and needed to be replaced.  My next door neighbor, unbeknownst to DMSR, watched the entire patio roof process through his window and came by the following night to tell me how thorough they were and said they were "true craftsman, not just handymen".

My wife and I have employed DMS on three occasions over the last 18 years.  The first instance was in approximately 2006. After two neighbors’ homes with cedar shake shingles burned down, DMS replaced our cedar shake roof on our home with a 50-year hail resistant asphalt shingle.  The process was smoothly and efficiently executed.
The second occasion occurred in approximately 2013 when DMS replaced the roof on an office building we owned.  DMS replaced the roof hastily and with minimal business interruption.
Finally, DMS recently replaced the roof and gutters on our home.  Not only was the work done speedily and efficiently by their crew, (Adrian, Jose, and Juan). but Jennifer and David Martin were constantly in contact with my wife and me during the process. My husband and I wanted to take the time to recommend David Martin & Son Roofing (DM&SR).  We had our roof replaced recently and it was an extensive undertaking.  We had no idea we needed a new roof until a free inspection was preformed (but not by DM&SR). We interviewed 5-6 roofing companies and we decide to go with DM&SR because they were concerned about our pond/pool/landscape and had plans on how to care for them.  Other roofing companies told us they would do the best they could and that wasn’t enough of a commitment to care for our concerns.  We also drove to 6 – 8 homes that DM&SR had recently replaced the roof.  You don’t have large home improvement projects without some hiccups but how they are resolved makes a huge impact on both parties and everyone wants a win-win. There were some miscommunications and they were quickly resolved, reasonable resolution and in a professional and respectful manner.  We felt DM&SR had our roofing needs as a priority. You pay your homeowners insurance monthly and then when you actually need to use it, it can be confusing! Especially if you never have filed a claim in 40 years.  They are experts in handling the insurance claim.  They file permits that are required and have the city come out and inspect.  We recommend DM&SR for your roofing needs.
