  I needed new shingles on my roof and some of the old boards replaced. They quickly had the job done and did a great job cleaning my yard after. No complaints from me! I would definitely recommend Cyr roofing!

  Owners response to this review is simply dishonest. But at least the guy responded to something! We discussed an estimate for all work needed and at no point did anyone at anytime ask for or elude to getting a "jacked up" estimate. That is a flat out lie which has made me lose all respect for this person. I said I would pay out of pocket for any work the insurance doesn't cover so have no clue why Jay Cyr would create such a fabrication. This is wording in our private messaging back and forth. Jay Cyr and his partner did okay, they showed up! But they did not want to take the time to remove shingles and replace a full sheet of plywood. Instead, they did the faster easier work to make quick bucks and had no trouble running off with $1295 after telling me the moldy soft sheet of plywood he avoided walking on would be okay and reducing the estimate by $200. I should have called him on that right then and there but again he seemed like a nice guy and his claim made me pause. Thats on me. However, his decision to not complete the agreed upon work had nothing to do with some sense of righteousness, it was because it was going to take more effort than he wanted to put in. The big money was already in his pocket and a mere $200 more wasn't worth it. I attempted to contact the guy several times to have him come back and complete the work we originally agreed on but got nothing but how busy he was. Tossing phrases out like insurance fraud is simply dishonest and sadly a poor attempt at distracting folks from the fact that he did not complete a job, and had poor communication in this situation, period. Good thing facebook stores all private messages! Original Review: Seemed like a nice guy, however all the work we discussed which was on the estimate did not get done. Once the quick work was complete and he got paid by our insurance claim money he suddenly became unavailable. Can't speak to the quality of what did get done except I can see the repaired spot where a tree penetrated the roof between two trusses still looks dented inward. Not sure whats up with that.

  Thanks Shawn! You contacted me because a tree fell on your roof. You wanted an estimate so you could take care of other spots that had nothing to do with your insurance claim. So we completed the damage caused by the tree and you asked if we fixed the extra work. I said we didn't and offered you a partial refund in which you agreed. We finished the work we were paid for. If you want to leave a review for work that wasn't paid for or started, then that's OK also. We appreciate your business!

  They installed a metal roof with snow guards which were installed incorrectly. As a result they tore out and now there are holes in the metal roofing which needs to be repaired. They have failed to respond to numerous phone calls and even contact through their website.

  Tom, the snow guards were installed correctly 4 years ago. You let a large amount of snow to build up which caused them to rip out. They are not designed to carry tons or weight of snow. These were installed years ago and have gone through a few winters with no problem. Unfortunately many believe a metal roof is maintenance free but that is not the case in the state of Maine. We apologize that you feel this way but Cyr Roofing doesn't warranty act of god causes, ex. Tornado, Hurricanes, Hail, Earthquake, Several feet of heavy wet snow, Ice Dams, etc.. just as all roofing companies do. We appreciate your business!
