UPDATE: Rating changed to 3 stars CEO Paul Selle reached out after this review was posted to try and resolve our concerns. After coming out to inspect, it was found that a section of the roof was not installed properly and that the decking underneath was damaged. The following week they removed the roof, replaced the decking underneath and installed a new roof properly. We did have some siding damaged / not reinstalled after this repair, but they did come back out again to fix their mistakes. In addition to that they also replaced a few nearby pieces of siding unrelated to the repair that were found to be rotting. All of this was performed free of charge. Once finished, I was able to talk through everything with Paul about our experience. He was very apologetic and indicated that a number of personnel were let go as a result of the issues listed below. We also talked about ongoing work in the company to prevent this situation from happening again (e.g. returning phone calls). We are glad to see this company taking action and wish them the best in their future. Original Review - 1 star Unfortunately we have had a very poor experience with this company. Our biggest issues revolved around communication, integrity and quality of workmanship. Our project happened to fall around winter time, so we had approval for repairs but didn't have the weather to complete them. When the weather improved, there wasn't any communication from the company and it wasn't until we reached out that we found our rep had left this position and our project was sitting idle without anyone assigned to it. This reactive instead of proactive approach quickly became a frustrating pattern of communication. From missed appointments to schedule changes without notice, we found this company to be very disorganized. The next issue we had was when we had this company quote a paint job for the exterior of our home. Our experience during the consultation with their painter was very positive, but when we received our quote, our jaws hit the floor. Out of the dozen or so quotes from competitors nearby, theirs was over double the cost of the highest bid we had received. We questioned them on this and did not receive a clear answer as to why it was so high. Our rep concluded with telling us, "He was glad we found someone we could afford." Needless to say after feeling insulted, we did not hire them to paint our home. The next issue we had was damage / respect to our property - pictures attached. The roofers gave little care to where the old roof was thrown and threw it right on top of our plants and hot tub cover. In addition to that we found damage to our paint, tears in our hot tub cover and multiple screens that were torn. Accidents happen, but this should not be something the customer has to find after the fact. There clearly was no post inspection and no best practices on where to toss trash. To this day, we are continuing to find stickers from the new roof panels in our yard. This took dozens of calls between our rep and even their CEO to be resolved. In the end, we were frustrated, but the company did replace our damaged plants and repair our screens. Lastly, the issue that we are continuing to battle today is a concern with the roof decking. We were told that this was inspected and found to be in good condition, however we have found a few areas on our roof that are now sinking in, which indicates that it was not thoroughly inspected and that the decking is potentially rotted. I have reached out over a dozen times and left several messages asking this company to simply inspect the areas to ensure we are ok. We were told twice that someone would come out to look and that never happened. Now, it's radio silence. We are now facing the fact that we will have to hire another contractor to fix their mistakes. [RESOLVED - SEE UPDATE ABOVE] Unfortunately I cannot recommend this company. I urge Core Exteriors to work on clear and transparent communication moving forward and to focus on proactive actions rather than reacting to or simply ignoring mistakes.

Core Exteriors was wonderful to work with. We were having a hard time with our insurance company. They wanted us to have a contractor look at things. After Core came out they were able to have the insurance company come out and do an inspection. After the inspection they were able to cover the damaged roof, gutters and siding. Branden did a great job start to finish. They handled the everything with insurance, permitting and material. They were able to get us taken care of start to finish in about 4 weeks. We would use Core Exteriors again. A+

I have never done one of these reviews but I was so impressed by Brandon the owner & his crew that I promised to do this... So I highly recommend this company. They were strait forward & professional, yet still took the time to make a personal connection even though my job was a simple storm damage re-roof. The outcome was just as I hoped, done in the promised timeline, & great quality. I will use them for all of my future exterior projects.
