  I’d like to take a moment to report on something extraordinary. My wife and I are artists and both former business owners and we are aware of how difficult it can be to get the kind of service and expertise that we have come to expect, especially in the building industry. We had decided to buy land and build in Pagosa Springs, CO and were lucky enough to find Colorado Dream Homes after several unsatisfying interviews with other builders. With little knowledge of the process of building a custom home and with an artists concept of what the perfect home might be we were impressed beyond words with the years of building experience and attention to the unimagined detail offered us at Colorado Dream Homes. We found that they have an amazingly good relationship with sub-contractors and venders and we felt that we were dealing with the best possible people throughout the process. From the beginning they understood our goal and when we faltered in our approach to a construction concept they guided us toward realizing that goal with time proven skill and ease. We are new to the Colorado Rockies and when we questioned the need for 12” highly insulated exterior walls we were reminded that it’s possible to reach temperatures of -20 degrees. We have an open space design and we’ve lived in our home for almost two years. We are energy efficient and toasty during the winter and remain cool during the summer. This award winning contractor helped us design and build a truly award winning home. When we had a design conflict with our local HOA they helped us solve problems that should not have even existed. They were totally on our side throughout the process. When it came time to trim a budget they offered successful alternatives that we would never have thought to consider. We’ve learned that designing and building a home is no small task. Planning for timely delivery of materials, work schedules to keep the job moving, even delivery of appliances was handled with extreme efficiency. It seemed that no detail was overlooked, even considering that we had no idea just how complex the process could be. From management to office and field staff, including working smoothly with contractors like plumbing and electrical we found the extent of knowledge and professionalism to be far beyond expectations. And yes, we did challenge both plumbing and electrical and they did not even blink an eye. While Colorado Dream Homes had several projects going at the same time that we were under construction we always felt as if we were their only concern. I’m sure that the other owners must have had the same feeling. Years of experience and the pride inherent in a family owned and operated business is evident and our home, our castle, is a source of pride for us and a constant source of amazement to those who visit us. I was a demanding businessman and throughout this entire process I had the feeling that Colorado Dream Homes was a partner working with us to achieve our goals rather than a contractor who would slap a roof on a pile of lumber and call it done. To this day we both feel like the folks at Colorado Dream Homes are still proud of the work that they did for us as we are certainly proud of our new home and the ease of life that it provides us. Good job Colorado Dream Homes. No, it’s more like an amazing job skillfully completed and we are proud to recommend them to anyone who asks. Two happy customers, Teena and Dave Robinson.

  Update August 2021 - my home is now complete. It's truly awesome. Looking forward to the winter in this extremely well-built mountain home. Having the right builder has made all the difference to me. CDH worked hard to keep my costs down, while giving me exactly what I wanted. They stayed on schedule, kept their word, and delivered me truly the home of my dreams. Thank you to every one at CDH !!!! I'm thrilled. Of the many reasons I'm grateful and fortunate I chose Colorado Dream Homes, aside from the tangible things like craftsmanship and professionalism, the number one reason is intangible. There's a saying that you'll forget most of what people say, but you'll never forget how they make you feel. From the minute I walked into the office, I have been treated kindly, listened to, and felt important. Every single person with Colorado Dream Homes, from the president to the office staff to my project manager to all the construction crews have been outstanding, enthusiastic, helpful, and understanding. Building my forever home is very personal to me, and everyone with Colorado Dream Homes has shown me that's important to them as well. The tangible things - craftsmanship, coordination, prioritization, timeliness, and resourcefulness all fall into place when there is genuine concern for me as a person, not just as another client. My home is 2 or 3 months from being finished, and there have been zero issues along the way. I've changed design and upgraded many features, and the suggestions and advice from Colorado Dream Homes has been invaluable to me. Construction started in October, and over the winter, they have stayed on schedule, fought winter weather setbacks, and remained focused - that shows me they care. I haven't been treated like just another client, as I know they have several construction projects in progress along with mine, yet I feel like I'm number one on their list. Everyone associated with Colorado Dream Homes genuinely wants to make my home 'just how I want it'. It is so refreshing to experience a business that actually cares about people. Even the simple things, like selecting my tile for instance at the local distributor, was personal. I wasn't told to just go there myself and find what I liked - I was accompanied and made my choices after bouncing ideas around, for there are mistakes I would have made by myself. I am very grateful, and fortunate for this endeavor with Colorado Dream Homes, and can't wait to move in when my home is finished !

  My home is the Diamond model, customized. The 12" thick walls, the metal roof, cedar siding - it is exceptional. Colorado Dream Homes won 5 national awards for energy efficiency for a reason. I'm impressed with the attention to detail throughout - from the foundation to the window seals to the framing - all built for energy efficiency and warmth for the Colorado mountain seasons. Big city/corporate homebuilders could learn something from this homebuilder, namely, service. The entire staff is friendly, honest, and helpful. They stay on schedule. Instead of choosing one of their two-story models, my Diamond model was customized with high ceilings throughout and extra large windows. The customization process with the team at Colorado Dream Homes was a breeze - the process was nearly instantaneous because they use the latest computerized drafting system. Their years of experience and knowledge of state-of-the-art home features in Colorado is something I never expected to find in this relatively small-town of Pagosa Springs. I will highly recommend Colorado Dream Homes to my friends and family.
