  I contacted Chism Services LLC Heating and Cooling Derby weekend, May 2021, about needing a new HVAC system. At that time, Chism and the crew were accommodating and quick to answer our call. They successfully installed a new indoor and outdoor unit that weekend. Friday, Jan. 27th, 2022 Around 3:00 AM - assuming we had a power glitch, our house was cold, around 60 degrees. With temperatures outside below freezing. The power to the Nest thermostat was not registering. After some self troubleshooting, we had no luck successfully turning on the heating system. 9:50 AM - I called Chism Services, Jon RT Chism (the owner) answered on the first ring. I let him know that they installed our unit in May of last year (9 months ago). And our Nest was giving us an error. The RH wire couldn't connect, and it couldn't power on the unit. Jon told me there were a 'couple' of people in front of us, but he would call back in an hour and give us an update. 3:45 PM I called Chism Services again left a voicemail about our issue. 4:30 PM My fiancé called Chism and left a separate voicemail. At this time, we were aware of the early dismissal for schools and the weather that could be impacting the area. I gave Chism the benefit of the doubt since I still had not heard back. By 5:00 PM, I knew it was a lost cause to get service on a Friday night, so we prepared the house to hunker down with no heat, a snowstorm, and below-freezing temperatures. Saturday, Jan. 28th, 2022 4:12 AM - I am woken up by my phone ringing from the owner of Chism, Jon. Being in a daze and seeing the hour on my phone, I did not answer. 7:30 AM - I get up and check my phone. I have a voicemail from Jon, lasting 38 seconds. You can hear him asking if "I made it home okay..." as he is assuming I am someone else. It was clear he was driving and on Bluetooth, under the influence. 7:50 AM - I call Jon back, leave another voicemail, again, giving him the benefit of the doubt and to just at least contact me back for any update at all. 9:22 AM - I send a text message to Jon personally. No response. My fiancé decided to reach out to Wright Mechanical Services to see if they could come out for a service check since our unit is still not working. 12:30 PM - Wright Mechanical Services diagnoses the issue as: "Found high voltage wired air handler taped together. Found wires had melted and killed the power to the unit. Removed wires rewired breaker so that there were no jumper wires to the breaker. Cycled system on and off to ensure proper operation. The system is running normally at this time." Sunday, Jan. 30th, 2022 1:18 PM - I reached out to the owner of Chism, Jon, after having our unit successfully fixed by Wright Mechanical to let him know what they found. Unfortunately, I've given Jon ample time to respond, and he continues to ghost. If you've had a unit installed by them, I would call another HVAC company to check their work. And I would HIGHLY recommend Wright Mechanical Services Inc. who saved the day.

  Chism services LLC heating and cooling - Absolutely awful buisness! After a code violation on our system to which they installed and almost caught our home on fire. The owner refuses to acknowledge anything, return messages or emails. He has lied and made threatening phone calls in the middle of the night. Does not take ownership of warranty on contractual obligations. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THIS IS NOT AN ACCREDITED BUISNESS!

  Every step of this process was prompt, professional and reasonable. The owner got back to me within minutes of me calling and sent a technician over within the hour. Their prices are very reasonable for the quality of what you get. I will definitely use them in the future and recommend them to anyone who needs heating/AC work.
