  Doing business with Charleston Roofing and Exteriors was excellent across the board. From the initial meeting with Mike Campbell, cost estimate, material drop off, installation, and post-job follow up, it was all seamless. Everyone in the company from the owner, to the project manager, job-foreman, and installation professional’s were easy and enjoyable to work with. Highest degree of professionalism from this entire group. I would highly recommend Mike and his guys for anyone in the Charleston Area. I will be using them again for future work.

  Home owner beware! We hired these guys to replace our roof. They came out and did the inspection of both our house and detached garage. The quote we received was vague and so we called to verify that it included the house, detached garage, and permit - we were told yes. The crew came the following week and did the house within a morning when we were not home, but the detached garage was not re-roofed. When we called to ask why the garage wasn’t done we were told that it was not included. Subsequent calls and emails we received would say it was and wasn’t included, and that they would make it right since it was a misunderstanding on their end. However, after a few days were they told us it would be an additional cost, including varying amounts depending on who we talked to between $900 - $1500. Charleston Roofing continued to go on about how they would have to replace plywood, and have a safety man on the ground, plus send a crew back out and that’s why it would be an additional cost. After much deliberation we agreed to pay an additional cost to have the garage done. The garage was pulled off and dried-in before 8:00am with no safety man or plywood being replaced. The plywood and “safety man” (with toddler) didn’t show up until after 10:30am. The safety man dropped off the shingles and left. The crew shingled the roof and left. Needless to say they had to come back and replace parts of the roof as the plywood was rotten all the way through and fell apart with just a touch. Additionally we had to continually ask to have the permit submitted as they had not done this until a few months after the work was completed. Here’s hoping nothing else happens to the roof.

  Communication was top notch and comprehensive regarding what to expect day of work and day of materials delivery. Crew of seven arrived on time day of work and worked quickly and efficiently, covering outside ornaments and HVAC completely, even moving patio furniture out of the way. Job was completed 2 hours earlier than expected, and patio furniture was moved to their original places. Foreman Gilberto was easy to talk to and communicated very well. My first roof replacement went WAY better than expected. Mike Campbell's company will be recommended to all my neighbors.
