Great company and fast turn around. The county took awhile to approve the plans, but Cal-sun notified me of the progress frequently. Installation was fast and the team was very professional. They answered all my questions and still do. They also get you in touch with solar tax experts who will work to maximize your solar refund. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for solar.

The installation crew was knowledgable, courteous, and professional, and they did fantastic work! They even kept their work very quiet from 7:00am until 7:30am (they offered to keep noise down while my toddler was sleeping). The solar panels were installed in just 4 hrs!!! On top of that they were able to schedule the inspection for the following day. Shout out to our sales representative Erin- we got a good deal and she did an amazing job of walking us through every step of the process over many months and was very patient with us while we got our roof redone prior to solar installation. She was on top of every detail and kept constant communication with us via text. Such a relief not having to remember what the next steps were because she kept us in the loop at all times. Cal-Sun has a top notch team of sales people and the installation crew, and we're very happy! Thanks for making "going green" easy!

I highly recommend Cal Sun Construction for solar & backup battery installation. They were recommended to me by Enphase Energy as one of their gold star installers. Purchasing and installing a next-generation solar system with a backup battery is complex and not a weekend DIY project. You need a first-class team. My journey started with Cal Sun's sales rep, Darrell. Darrell was instrumental in providing my guidance on the suitability of the roof for solar, determining the number of panels and size of the battery, and the selection of vendor solar panels, microinverters, and battery. He recommended (28) REC 400AA panels, (28) Enphase microinverters, and a 10kwh Enphase battery. I researched and validated these recommendations on the Internet and YouTube and determined these would consider leading edge choices to support energy production that 105% of PGE bill. This proved to be accurate after my system was turned on. From the time I signed the contract, my system was installed as promised within 2 months. The overall price of the equipment and installation was very competitive compared to other vendors and installers. I know you're wondering why I did not go with Tesla which is known to be a cheaper solution. Lead time for a Tesla installation is at least 9 to 12 months. I was fortunate to have a crackerjack project manager, whose name was Katie. She was all over my project like a brown paper bag. She helped me get fire department and building permits, ensured my fire and building inspections were complete, and then worked PGE to ensure my PTO (permission to operate) was complete under NEM 2.0. Go Katie!! Her responsiveness was outstanding. The real brains behind Cal Sun Construction are its owner Tyler Fritz who closely monitored and resolved all issues throughout the installation process even though my job was 3 hours away. His technical guy, Bryan, who was a master mechanic knows everything about these systems and how to optimize them. If you are going Solar with a backup battery. I would go with 1st class installer like Cal Sun Construction.
