  If I could give 6 stars I would. Sure the work was top-notch and it was performed quickly and at immaculately high standards, but what sets Boyd Construction apart from everyone else who can slap a roof over your head is simply their customer service. Communicative. Transparent. Generous. The woman who runs their office, Dee, would be a first round ballot inductee to the customer service hall of fame if such a thing existed. I don't know who all these other customers out there, wasting their time and trouble with other roofing companies full of people grunting and shrugging and ripping them off, but if you need a roof or gutter work or anything else in this realm, you'd be clown not to call up Boyd Construction. Don't overthink this. These guys are the best.

  It's nice to find companies that provide quality service at a reasonable and workable price for REPAIR as well as replacement. This involved an older roof & a small leak in one area. After looking over the entire roof surface & evaluating its overall condition applying a sealant was one of a few options possible, with no guarantees for success. The final option was full replacement. I chose to try the sealant first. Additional sealant was added in one spot (at no extra cost), and it is still working. That was over 3 months & several serious rainstorms ago. I now feel I have a few more years left on this roof, but am also planning for its eventual replacement. (Because, of the few things that may last nearly forever - roofs aren't one of them.) The challenge today is that many companies won't do repair work. I look for those who will present all my options & still provide professional, quality work. Boyd Construction Company was able to do that.

  Boyd Construction Co., was my pick out of a few estimates for my Capitol Hill townhouse roof that started leaking. The Boyd Construction Co., appears well organized (Thank you to Dee, office manager and POC) and have experience from a few generations for re-roofing flat roof (torch down) with Firestone 180 Ceramic Coated. This technology is the best for the flat roof if the workers are highly skilled. John Boyd came for evaluation and estimate on time with his son (son looks very much as the father; it was cute and feels good about the business). We went to the roof to examine it. Without wasting my time John shown and explained me the problems and how it would be fixed. So, I understood what I am getting. The estimate arrived by email next day. All Boyd Construction Co., workers are “in-house” plus one helper, highly skilled, respectful for the property and have great personality and confident in their work. All works was done in 2 days, under owner supervision. Result: high quality roof covering with extra touch. Boyd Construction Co., left me happy with my beautiful roof for years to come.
