We had a very good experience with Bordner. The sales person was knowledgeable and personable. The project was scheduled quickly and was completed on time. We believe the roofing materials that were supplied are very good quality. The men who removed the old roof and installed the new roofing materials worked continuously on our project and completed the work very well and on time. The project manager reviewed the work at the beginning, during, and after completion to make sure that all was completed correctly. The cleanup and old materials removal was thorough. We are completely satisfied.

Bordner Home Improvement Co. is one of the best to use for home repairs, fix ups, and improvements. Each associate I dealt with was professional, friendly, informative and prompt. We ordered a new exterior door with window above and it turned out very well and beautiful. The installers encountered a few issues, due to our house being custom built. They handled the issues with smart fixes and attention to detail. I highly recommend hiring Bordner for your home projects.

Warning for single women (especially those with young children). I contracted with Bordner in April 2021 for Hardie Board siding install on my 1966 built home with tear-off of original siding. In mid-August the crew were able to complete a 5 day tear-off and install and the improvement on the curb appeal of the home was immense. They did a very good job from what I can see. No one has been back to fix any issues. I made sure to protect my biggest plants, I also trimmed branches to give room for workers and trimmed branches on the magnolia tree to give room for workers. I had no idea they would just bend and break limbs if they were in the way, this only happened a couple of times but it was preventable. After crew left I saw a huge amount of lead paint everywhere, they did not use a tarp or any covering to protect against lead so lead dust, paint chips and approx. 3 - 4 inch pieces of siding were extremely visible on the ground and around landscaping. The paint chips were everywhere, and this was readily noticeable and could have been prevented. The paint was obviously chipping before removal and the age of the house was a dead give-a-way as to lead paint, the paint also had alligator scaling which obviously means there was lead paint used. It is Bordner's responsibility to protect their workers (even if the crew was a subcontractor so I blame Bordner for the risk of health injuries to workers. The crew also did not wear any protection including masks. My neighbor have young children and there was no protection for them either by placing a sign stating lead paint renovation was being completed or a barrier between houses, I found out that Bordner was supposed to train crews and employees on lead and safety precautions. The guy who picked up the roll-off actually swept and picked up debris around the dumpster. I DID expect to need to sweep and make sure no nails or screws were in the driveway, I DID NOT expect to have to clean up after the crew as I had spent tens of thousands of dollars to have my home resided. I grow edible plants in my front yard. I don't use pesticides and I also have a pollinator habitat and have many different animals in my yard. So I now cannot grow anything near my house due to lead dust settling in the dirt and I'm not sure what the lead dust does to insects and animals, including my dogs. There were a few items that needed fixed after the install, I messaged the lead and the project manager came out a few days later. He took pictures of the paint chips and siding, broken path lamp, the spigot board (board behind spigot like the board behind the lights, ornamental). The board was cut in half and caulked over the crack. The other boards appear to have had a hole saw used. The garage trim is bowed, the gutter downspouts were attached with only one strap meaning they are loose on the house. I was also told, many times, that the workers would reattach everything they took down so, after the crew was finished, I asked about the hose reel being put back up and the security light not working and was told that, "if you read the contract I would know that reattaching items was not there". That would have been fine if I had not been told multiple times that everything would be reattached and I would not even know it was taken down. I fixed the security light and will fix the gutter downspouts and attach the shutters and do everything I can in order to not have Bordner come back. I'm just afraid of heights so I have yet to build up the courage to finish some of these things. I cannot fix the garage trim or spigot board or remove all the lead that should not have been an issue in the first place. So watch out.
