  Big Bear and especially Andrea made this a painless, easy process. They helped with the insurance portion, and made sure I got exactly what I needed. My roof was torn down and replaced and several areas completely replaced from water damage. The supervisor was on scene several times to ensure I was satisfied and that work was going on schedule. After completing the roof you could not tell they had even been there, everything was cleaned up and removed. The company they contracted for inside work was Sea Island Home Repair and they are another top notch, professional company, and I will definitely be using them in the future. Thanks for a great job and caring about your customers.

  Initially I just needed a small roof repair where water was leaking into my garage. They came out to give me an estimate and noticed hail damage that my untrained eye didn't see. They did an outstanding job of working with my insurance company and getting them to cover an entire new roof for me! The whole process was quick and easy and only took about a month from start to finish. After the roof was done they said they could also fix the water damage on the interior of the garage. Unfortunately I believe the contractor they hired wasn't the best. The estimate said he was supposed to treat the damaged area for mold, fix the drywall, and seal it so mold wouldn't grow back. All he did was fix the drywall, and I heard him complaining to his boss on the phone about how the job was bigger than he wanted to do. After the work was done Big Bear called to make sure I was satisfied with the work, I explained I didn't believe it had all been done. He said he would call the contractor then call me back. He later left a voicemail saying he didn't know what the contractor did so all I could do now is wait and see if mold grows back and if it does, it means the contractor didn't do the mold treatment like he was supposed to. Not exactly a professional answer, but I overlooked it, just happy I don't have a gaping hole in my garage ceiling now. Nevertheless, I would expect a better answer from a company like Big Bear. A few weeks after all the work was complete I noticed a roofing nail in my driveway. Not a big deal, I figured a few would be left behind after the cleanup. Over the next 30 minutes I found 92 roofing nails in the grass surrounding the house. I get it, a few nails is to be expected, but close to 100 seems reckless, especially for families that have pets and kids running around. Also, be cautious of the actual prices on the invoices Big Bear sends you. I was initially told I owed one number, then an invoice came with a higher number on it. I simply emailed them and they promptly corrected it, so not a huge deal, but be cautious. All in all, I'm happy with the work that was done. Big Bear is a larger company and has good reviews so I was a little surprised at the lack of professionalism with certain aspects of the work they did - leaving an excessive number of nails in the grass, hiring poor quality contractors, and fudging the numbers on invoices. Seems like mistakes a smaller company would make, not a company like Big Bear.
