  Really impressed with how responsive they were. I worked with Steven, and throughout the whole process, he kept me updated on progress and any problems he and his team ran into. Before finding Bay Florida Builders, I called at least five other contractors. Each of them said they would come out the next day to give a quote, and none of them followed through. On the other hand, Steven and his team showed up when they said they were going to show up and finished the work quickly.

  The work to the roof isn’t bad, it actually appears pretty well done. However the crew was absolutely garbage. They sat around in my yard for more of the day than they actually worked, which I’ll give them. Could have been for any reason that I don’t know because I don’t do that kind of work. However in the process they completely destroyed one of my flower beds and left cut metal all in my front yard and across my sidewalk. I understand that they have a job to do and the mess comes with the territory. I also understand that lack of materials contributes to having the ability to do work. But it is absolutely ridiculous that after spending half the day trying to not step on my flowers, the last 2 left working decided that didn’t matter anymore and started flinging heavy rocks onto the tarp they draped over my flower bed and stomping all through it. They also broke multiple pathway lights and the ones they didn’t break they haphazardly put back in the ground. So I had to move them around correctly myself. I’m not asking for perfection but a little decency and consideration would have been nice. They up and left when it started getting dark yesterday and left all their things behind and didn’t come back today until after 1:00. I’m furious and I am hurt at the absolute lack of professionalism that happened here. When my husband emailed Dirk about the destroyed flowers and the metal scraps that weee left behind he completely ignored the part about his crew ruining my plants and said he would be out later to clean up the metal scraps. Not even an hour goes by and the crew foreman(who was very polite) showed up in his place. UPDATE: Dirk reached out to my husband today and apologized and asked what he could do to make things right with us. The gesture was very much appreciated. And even though I wish it hadn’t come to this. Ideally I wish it hadn’t come to this but I’m glad to know that the company was willing to fix it.
