I would like to thank Barry and his entire team for the excellent work they did replacing my roof. I would highly recommend them. The communication was excellent both before and after. The guys that did the heavy lifting were awesome. Great Job Badger!!!

I got a quote from one other contractor, and although the other contractor was cheaper, I went with Badger based on the thorough education that they provided on the materials, process and warranty of the roof install. I was very nervous, since this is the largest project that I’ve had done since buying my home. Chad was great— easy to talk to and wasn’t pushy at all. The crew was working on my roof pretty much all day and cleaned everything up before leaving.

I've had Badger out to my house for a couple of jobs - one being a full roof replacement and the other being a siding repair job.  Both jobs were handled professionally, with quality workmanship, on budget friendly terms.

We live in a large home in Pasadena MD, the Badger team showed up on time and did a terrific job on our new roof. We are so happy with the quality, and look, of our new roof and couldn't be happier - James

Barry Flaks was a terrific salesman. No high pressure, answered all of our questions, and had the best price of the 3 companies I contacted. The workers were on time, efficient, and I admired their work ethic, as they worked even when it began to rain. They did a great job with our roof, and cleaned the area up beautifully. We've been through a few hard downpours since, and not one leak - we have 2 dormers and 4 skylights!
I would definitely recommend them.

These folks installed a new roof on our home. The roof is solid & they’ve been responsive and followed up with any issues.

They did a better job of cleaning up than many roofers, but we’re still picking nails, etc out of the yard two months later.

They have great prices, friendly staff & solid workmanship. Their attention to the appearance of the finish work on the roof was not initially great, although with follow up from us, we got a good result.

Replaced the siding on the whole house, new shutters and gutters. Very professional crew, did great work, consulted on any details which were not clear. Did a great job, addressed all issues, did a thorough cleanup. The supervisor stayed in touch during the whole process and checked the job at the conclusion. Their price was very competitive and the warranty on the work was longer than the other vendors. Highly recommend

We got an estimate from Steve at Badger in 2018 and again in 2020 along with two other estimates. After some minor negotiation, we selected Badger.  We appreciated that they were responsive but not high pressure. We asked a lot of questions and Barry quickly responded in writing to all of them. Steve and Barry provided us with larger samples of the roofing material and addresses where we could see it in place when we struggled to decide on a color. There was some lawn damage on delivery due to wet conditions, a large truck and our narrow driveway but Barry worked with the delivery company on our behalf and the damage was repaired.  The guys on the roofing crew were pleasant and hardworking. Only one or two spoke English but it wasn't a problem. They completed the bulk of the job in one day.  The crew lead was very nice and returned at the end of day to ensure clean up was done well (it was), and the following day to finish a small area they needed more product for. We also had siding installed at a later date and were pleased. The roof looks great and we would recommend Badger and use them again.

We hired Badger Contracting to remove/replace our roof. The new roof has been leaking since the first winter and the owner, Barry Flaks refuses to fix it.

The contract included 3 roof penetrations based on a sketch I provided. The penetrations were located incorrectly. They cut new penetrations in the correct location, but didn’t close off the 3 incorrect penetrations. They “patched” the 3 holes with roofing material; if someone steps on they will fall thru.

After making an appointment with Mr. Flaks to pay the balance, I inspected the roof, then informed Mr. Flaks that there were major issues. I contacted the manufacturer (Firestone) who informed me that based on photos I provided, the roof was not installed according to their installation requirements and that there was no warrantee. Before I agreed to the work, Mr. Flaks talked about the manufacturer’s warranty and the contract states that there is a manufacturer’s warranty; but there is no manufacturer’s warranty. Some of the problems include:
- Holes in the roof structure thru the decking and substrate. No decking or substrate.
-Exposed plywood on the edges front and back. Flashing does not overhang the plywood.
-The edge detail was not installed per the manufacturer’s instruction. There is no blocking.
-The corners were not done correctly and they used an excessive amount of “tape” instead of heat welded corners. The Firestone rep. who looked at the roof in person described the corners as “overworked and sloppy parapet details on inside and outside corners”. He also said “Unless significant water has penetrated under the membrane, perhaps you could nurse this along for a few years and adhere a TPO fleece back to in 3-5 years”. Note that since the Firestone Rep made that statment, water has penetrated under the membrane constantly since the first winter. The decking and roof joists are saturated when it rains. This is important based on his statement.
-The gutter was not correctly re-attached. Rain bypasses the gutter and is cascading down the exterior wall likely damaging the wall.
-The insulation substrate per the contract was to be 3-inch. When measured at the six penetrations, it is 2-inch thick.
-And the photos speak louder than words.
Other issues included:
-The workers helped themselves to the refrigerator without asking, and left bottles all over the house.
-The house inside and out was a complete mess after the second day and they had to come back to clean. It was still a mess after.
-The neighborhood kids said the workers were urinating in bottles and throwing them off the roof.

I expressed my concerns immediately and repeatedly (everything is in writing) and here are some of Mr. Flaks quotes:
“OK how about I just start over? Allow me the opportunity with no lawyers or anything to do it over.”
“I am happy to redo the roof and correct any way you see fit. I am a man of my word and will do what it take to correct including starting over. I would like the opportunity to fix my mistakes please.”

These are direct quotes of Mr. Flaks from his emails. Is he a man of his word? So what has he done to correct his mistakes? In fact he has refused to fix the roof, which would require being torn off and starting over. I’ve sent him dozens of photos of the leaking roof during rains. I even asked him to come see the leaking while it was raining. What has he done? Mr. Flaks has hired lawyers, filed a judgment against me, and has hired a collection attorney to collect on the judgment. Meanwhile my new roof continues to leak, it’s cost me time off work, time dealing with him and his lawyers and constantly dealing with water in the house. It’s been a huge frustrating mess. So if and when I pay the judgment that his collection lawyer is forcing me to do, I will need to hire another roofer to remove the new roof he installed and pay to have another new roof installed correctly by a different contractor. Two years wasted and counting and saga working with Mr. Flaks continues…

This is a lawsuit that Mr Davis lost in court because he never paid for the roof. Its public record that we won in court and you still haven't satisfied your debt.

They replaced the siding of the whole house. The quality of the craftmanship was really bad.  There is no water proofing material in place. Water started to leak to the house. Taking a long time to get them back to repair. Now, the pieces around the windows fell off.  Water leaked on different places.  I finally hired another contractor to replace the siding and fix the issue around the Windows. Very disappointing.

With all due respect Im so sorry you had a problem but we did job in 2012 and we never heard anything from you about a service. Please reach out and we would be happy to help.
