We were extremely happy with the new roof that AVCO in Sulpher Springs installed.  We live in Emory approx 26 miles from S.S. and they always showed up on time and ready to work.  Our home and property were treated with respect and they cleaned up everything including every nail that fell to the ground.  SHILOH and all his workers were polite and very hard workers and we would with out a doubt recommend them.  We love our beautiful roof.

Awesome company! Very easy. Jonathan King, with the Sulphur Springs office, worked with the insurance company.  We hardly had to do anything. The installation crew was fast and did an excellent job. I would recommend AVCO to anyone.

I started my roofing company search with three companies and received three bids.  I selected to work with Richard Manross at Avco Roofing.  I was not in a hurry to get the job done and I like to gather as much information as possible.  Richard was very knowledgeable and was quick to respond to my many inquiries.   He brought samples of shingles, gutter color's and information on company brands and pro and cons of each. I was given addresses to view previous projects to help in my selection of roofing color and  styles. Richard was there to oversee the install and once the project was completed, he was also available to help with my insurance claim.  I highly recommend Richard and Avco Roofing.

Our roof leaked in February of 2018. My wife called AVCO Roofing and Cade Carnette came out to assess the status of our roof. He found bad hail damage, put his own tarp over it, and let us keep the tarp through the rainy season. Cade assisted us through the insurance process and explained clearly what the next steps were. The insurance company agreed that the roof needed to be replaced, so we met with Cade to set a date for the replacement. Cade explained in detail what we could expect to happen on the day of the replacement and gave us several color options for the new shingles along with several examples. On the day of the replacement, AVCO Roofing showed up at about 7:30 am and was done replacing the roof by 3:00 pm. All in all, AVCO Roofing made the process of replacing our roof streamlined and less stressful. We love our new roof and would gladly recommend them.

This is not a review; this is details of the experience we had with AVCO Roofing. It all started in April 2020 right after a big hailstorm. An AVCO salesman comes to the house uninvited (Miles Hogan) he wants to check out the roof; told him our insurance company hadn’t sent out the adjuster, he checks it anyway. To keep this short, will skip some parts of conversation. He has a great sales pitch; even felt a connection we are retired military, and he has served. The damage was the roof needed replacing, two broken windows in our master bedroom and two damage window screens and a third screen in kitchen window on the back side of the house. This what our adjuster found, also.
We decided to go with AVCO, May 2020 we sign paperwork. The roof was replaced within the month. There was some damage to a facial board, came out replaced it no problems. The problems came with the windows. Don’t know how to explain this, but here we go. Miles would call say someone coming to replace the windows. To make this short we probably had 3 or 4 people come measure the windows. Miles took my screens to have them fix, lost them, had remade at least 3 times before we got them. Still windows are not replaced. Probably 6 months has gone by. This is when the communication starts to breakdown, new people come in tell us they were sent to fix problems with the backlog of work. Phone calls are not returned; Miles won’t return calls and his supervisor still waiting on that call back. Someone did finally come out and replace the windows, but now you can’t open or close them. Wrong part. If you open the windows its take two people to close them. Miles working on it. Months go by nothing. I figure someone would call when they wanted to get paid, because still not returning calls.
Miles calls in July 2021 wanting to get the final numbers, to make final payment, job not complete still waiting on windows to be completed. He said get someone to finish, still waiting on Miles to send someone. More months go by, someone from the main office call for final payment, can’t window still not finish. I tried and call Miles no answer. Call the main office and ask if Miles still works for them. Yes, he does but on 3 months reserve training. It would been something nice to know since he working to get our windows fix. Have someone call you, few weeks later, Andrew calls (another new person) he has been sent to fix the problems. I explain everything him including the no return phone calls. Andrew said will check on the status call back regardless of the progress I promise I will you back today. About 3 days later, people show at the house (no call from Andrew) to fix the windows. Finally, the windows are done. Andrew call 3 days after job is completed. I ask him why you didn’t call back last week; His answer was I call back as that’s what I am doing now.
It is October 2021, on vacation and getting calls and text message about final payment. Couldn’t get anyone answer or return call for over a year and now phone want stops ringing. Guess now they want money.
Don’t think anyone will understand the mental anguish we experience with this company. Dealing with them made me say things to people I had to call back and apologize for. My wife called me at work crying about the windows, people coming to fix them but never doing it. People show up wrong measurement, wrong part or back in a couple days. We had one guy show 2 days in a row to measure the windows. I use the term people and guy for the window company because we never knew the company, AVCO sent us and no call from AVCO to say who was coming.
This was our experience with AVCO, hope its help someone.
