  When they installed my foam roof 9 years ago they were excellent to work with and responded quickly to minor repairs for a few years afterwards. However, during the past few years, their response to repair requests (15 year guaranteed) has be abysmal. They either don't answer the phone (voice mail), don't return calls or don't show up. I would have given them a 5-star rating in the early years, but their lack of response to warrantee repairs hardly rates a 1-star rating. Very disappointing.

  We have worked with Alan Schaevitz for the past 20 years. I personally worked with Alan last year on repairs and scheduling. We had an open line of communication through text and phone calls, and we went out and fixed his repairs. Recently he called in about new repairs, our office spoke with Alan on August 17th and let him know we would send a service person out within a couple of weeks. Our service person went to Alan's on August 25th and assessed the repairs. We let Alan know that we would get him on our schedule. It is August 31st, one week later and we have a 1 star review from Alan. In the wake of Covid and keeping our employee's safe, we are working remotely and have allowed our employee's to make safe choices by staying home to protect themselves and their families. I feel we have communicated with Alan successfully and will stand behind our service and communication with him as well as fix his repairs. We always welcome feedback in any form, as it allows us to better our service.

  I hired these guys to put 1 1/2 inches of foam over my existing foam roof. I had leaky drains and wanted them to be repaired and sealed properly. I also wanted any areas of blistered foam removed and recoated, and positive drainage from low areas. They promised two coats of sealant (1.5gal/100sq feet per coat) over the foam they were going to apply, and to tape off all the solar mounts I had on the roof. I sent my deposit and didn't receive a call for over a week. I called multiple times and finally received a call back 10 days later. On that day, Friday, they said they wanted to start Saturday morning. They were on site for no more than 4 hours Saturday, presumably power washing. Monday morning I received a message requesting full payment! They said they had worked all day Sunday and completed the job. They were on my roof all day without my knowledge or consent, and how did they get on the roof with the gates locked? I went up onto my roof to see what had been done. After I inspected the job I knew they had not delivered as promised. The drains were not sealed, the foam not applied across the roof, and the sealer paint was already completely dry (which if applied at the proper thickness should have still been wet). When confronted about it, they admitted they had not stuck to what the contract called for! I paid them less than we had contracted for, but still more than they were owed for the job they did do. I hired another contractor, who core sampled the roof. The core samples showed they had not applied 1 1/2 inch of foam anywhere on my roof. The core sample also showed they only put one coat of sealant, not two as promised. We tested the drains and they still leaked. They broke the drainage pipes from my air conditioners. They over sprayed foam onto two of my employees cars which will not come off. They only taped off half of my solar mounts and the ones they taped they did not remove the tape after. The ones not taped had foam all over them, making it a mess to try and use them. I hired another contractor who completed the job and I now have a real leak guarantee. Do not hire these people you will regret it!

  I'm in the process of closing on home that needs a respray of the top layer. Looking for another quote from the first company (one that actually confirmed and came out for inspection) AFE might do good work but between my realtor and myself calling on different occasions/multiple times to confirm a date of inspection (do you all like to make money as a company??) Only to be told a tech will call within 24hrs... yup still waiting days later after multiple calls.... Good luck getting an inspection scheduled
