Met the owner (Thomas) at salt springs on a Sunday and struck up a conversation and told him our roof situation by Thursday he was at the house taking measurements. By Tues the next week the materials were dropped and the following day his crew showed up to start the job. No one knew what was underneath the existing incorrectly installed metal roof. As they dug in they found two layers of shingles plus the metal roof. Once everything was off and down to the wood it was in such bad shape they had to reconstruct most of the roof. Not only did they do so Thomas and his crew provided a gorgeous green metal roof that made my wife extremely happy. Bragging on Thomas his crew and his company still wouldn't do them justice for the outstanding job that they did. Not only would we recommend them to anyone needing a roof but we plan on giving them the most kudos to anyone needing any kind of roofing. This was more than just a job for my wife and I because it turned into a friendship.

The crew was very polite and did a great job on replacing my roof as well as the cleanup. They were very detailed in every part of the job, making sure it was done right. The price and customer service was great and the company is honest and reliable. I am pleased with the work and I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

I was looking forward to getting my roof fixed, but upon providing my shingles choice, a couple of things happened... They delivered shingles without notification, telling the drivers out is ok to put on tarped areas of roof. Why would you ever do that? I have lots of roof space, I find it odd you would specifically state such to the delivery crew. You tell me you could do this job Monday, then you decide Thursday. And most of all, when a customer makes a shingles selection, you don't pick a different single brand that costs less than the brand and style I selected, and not inform me of such. You were doing a bait and switch to pocket a little bit more money. Shame on you. That's deceitful, dishonest and disreputable. And, of course, now, another undue delay in getting my roof fixed, and looking for another roofing company. 😡
Response from the owner
We're remorseful that we couldn't come to an understanding and complete your roofing project for you, but we would like to perhaps better explain things here. We did not attempt a delivery without notification, it was explained that the supply company would load the roof the day before we were to commence work. While meeting with you on Tuesday November 2nd to finalize the details of the project, we discussed a start date of Monday which would have been 6 days from that point. After departing and looking at the future weather forecast we decided to move you up on the schedule to Thursday in order to beat the rain that was coming into the area Friday and Saturday. Â We called and notified you of this change immediately, and you did not express any points of contention at that time. Â With your roof having open areas allowing for water intrusion, we made your project a priority over others we already had on our schedule as to limit any further damage you were receiving. We did specify to the delivery company to disregard the remnants of the tarps that you had on almost 50% of your ridgeline and to evenly distribute the new shingles across the ridge as to not overload any one area and potentially structurally damage the roof, especially given the likely possibility the roof was already compromised from the impact of a tree that had fallen on it along with subsequent water damage. Â Loading the roof in this way would not have had any bearing on the final product you would have received whatsoever. On Monday November 1st you emailed us and requested Owens Corning Chateau Green. Â We contacted several of our suppliers and could not allocate that specific color in Owens Corning, however one of our suppliers was able to go to Savannah, GA and bring in enough GAF Timberline Hunter Green shingles to fill your order. Â We purposely did not specify a shingle manufacture on our proposal due to supply chain shortages from Covid and we focused on the color you wanted instead. Â GAF and Owens Corning have identical warranties and both are top tier in the industry. Â We did not "bait and switch" you looking for additional profit, GAF and Owens Corning are very comparably priced within a few dollars of each other depending on the distributor. Â On Tuesday, at our meeting it was stated that GAF Timberline Hunter Green is what we were able to get and no objections were raised at that time. The following day our supply company showed up to deliver the shingles and that is when we received a call informing us you were refusing delivery. Â We immediately called you to rectify the situation. We apologized for any lack of clarity on our part and that a shingle brand showed up that you were not expecting. Â We can appreciate you did research and were comfortable with what you thought you were getting. Â We made attempts over the phone to assure you that the shingle manufacture you were getting was not a cheap alternative and we were simply trying to accommodate your hard to come by color request. Â Unfortunately you became verbally abusive and at that time we decided both parties would be better off going their separate ways. We wish you luck on completing your roofing project and we will be approving our shingle selection protocol so as to not have a misunderstanding like this moving forward. Â Thank You.
