I bought my house in October 2020. The previous owners who were an elderly couple who spent $16,000 on a new roof with a 50 year warranty from this company in early 2020. Shortly after I bought the house the roof started leaking. This was not a shingle issue this company did not properly install the roof around the skylights. We pulled the permit to the house and figured out who had done the roof. I called All American and Katie was super rude she informed me because the warranty wasn’t transferred she couldn’t replace the shingles. I explained to her it wasn’t a shingle issue it was poor installation on their part. She agreed to have someone come out one time to look at it and then after that we would have to pay. The guy came out and literally put caulk on it. So needless to say it has still leaked. I will now be paying g to get someone who knows what they are doing to come out and fix my roof. I wouldn’t recommend this company to put a roof on a kids clubhouse. They obviously take no pride in their work or back it up! Update: I will not revise my review as the shingles were not the problem. The problem is that it was not installed properly around the sky lights. The service person you sent out to fix it. Just put caulk around it and it is still leaking. Regardless of the shingle warranty you should back up the work you did and fix it properly.
Response from the owner
Ma'am, can I have the name the account is under? This is Katie. I wouldn't have been the one you spoke to about service issues. If you actually did speak to me on the phone, which would be very rare, since I deal with billing, I would have been just relying info that I was given. I do not make decisions like that. I handle office/computer work. Hope you have a better day. *In addition I have emails with Owens Corning, Keena, see where I had tried to get your name on the warranty after you spoke with whoever in the company. Since we do not get notifications when someone sells a house...we have no control about transferring warranties past 60 days. That's the responsibly of the new owner or the seller. See the below response from Owens Corning. "Hello, Unfortunately, we would not be able to transfer the warranty. The transfers are to be initiated within 60 days of the real estate transfer as outlined in our warranty. If the real estate transfer took place October 2020, about a year ago – then that is beyond the 60 day mark." ***In addition again: I found our texts messages. I would attach them if I could. I will type them out for you. me: "Keena this is Katie with All American Home Improvement about your roof. Owens Corning needs to know when you bought the house to see if the warranty can be transferred sine the original home owner didn't transfer it over to your name." Kenna: "October 2020" Me: "Keena I heard back from Owens Corning. They said the original owner needed to transfer the warranty within 60 days of selling the house to you. However we will do a one time free repair to the skylight. If anything happens after that we'd need to charge for the repair. Dwayne will be calling you next week to schedule the repair." Keena: "Well the previous owners are elderly. We had to pull the work permit to find out you did the roof because they couldn't remember. I think that's a little ridiculous that a warranty needs to be transferred in 60 days. I would think they would want to stand by a product especially when the roof is only 1 1/2 years old!" Keena, I would appreciate you to revise your review of myself after you read this reply. I can send you the screen shot of our text messages as well. Thank you.

Had windows installed on entire house. They came out gave thermol readings in several different windows with a heat lamp and temperature measuring device. We selected the three pane windows. They came out and installed crew cleaned up after installation was great. Now I have been told by another window company that some of the windows were not installed squared causing difficulty locking some windows. I broke a piece in the track of one window called to get a replacement part. Their response was we don't carry that particular window anymore. To top it all off I was cleaning the windows two days ago and I actually broke the glass only to find out the windows installed were NOT triple pane windows that I ordered but double pane windows. Have scheduled for a second window installation with a new contractor local made windows.
