  I had All American Construction (who runs their business under at least two other names) replace our roof. Problem started after construction began, when the owner called to say that there was potential water damage under a flat roof extension, which was impossible to estimate the cost to fix without first removing the existing structure. I signed a waver to fix any damage, and was shocked to see an extra $5000 for extra work for what was replacing 2 rafters under an 8' x 12' flat roof. Inspecting the work, and having 3rd parties look, we discovered that 3/8" particle board was used as decking, and not exterior-grade plywood, as specified on the invoice. There were many other signs of cutting corners and shoddy workmanship, including some that have required additional repairs. Feel free to contact me with any other questions. Best to save yourself a lot of trouble and find a contractor who will do the job right and not rip you off.
