  Roof still leaks, and "cricket" not installed. We contracted with Aimco to repair / replace our roof after a storm. We specifically discussed two issues. 1. The existing roof had a leak where it joined a metal roof on the back porch. 2. The existing roof did not have a "cricket" behind chimney, as code dictated. We have called and left messages, we have sent letters, etc. both issues are still unresolved. The roof still leaks and there is no cricket behind the chimney. We cannot get Aimco to respond to our requests to get the repairs completed and finish the job They did work with our insurance company to get the roof replacement covered. P. Blanchard & S. Ritchey

  Homeowners insurance carrier originally denied roof replacement after Hurricane Laura, Aimco was hired by homeowners to provide documentation and estimate to homeowner insurance carrier. After several months of back and forth with insurance carrier, Aimco was able to provide documentation that showed main dwelling roof needed replacement. Insurance adjuster spoke with homeowners and went over all items covered and approved for replacement. Items covered by insurance carrier: * Main Dwelling Shingle Roof Items NOT covered by insurance carrier: •Denied: Installation of “cricket” on chimney. Insurance carrier denied due to NO existing cricket on original roof and due to there being NO active building codes in area of residence. •Denied: Metal Roof attached to home. Metal roof found to have NO Hurricane damage. Insurance loss report has all items covered as per insurance claims. Homeowner has copy and can acquire copy from their insurance carrier. Items NOT approved by insurance carrier are responsibility of homeowners to replace out of pocket if insurance does not cover that particular line item. Main dwelling roofing system is not leaking and is installed correctly. Items in complaint are from items NOT covered by insurance carrier. Aimco is more than glad to install a cricket on chimney and replace metal roof however it will be at homeowners expense since insurance did not cover as part of insurance claim.   These guys where really good at what they do, professional, prompt, courteous, and a joy to sit and talk with. The clean up was amazing (not one nail). From tear-off to finish they did a great job!!

  Aimco was professional and helpful. They fixed my roof the correct way. I am sure you can find cheaper companies but they won’t be doing it correctly/cutting corners. They brought my roof up to code and did the roofing job the correct way. The owner, Steven and Scott(don’t know his title), answered any questions I had, kept me up to date every step of the way, were fantastic to work with AND my roof is beautiful!
