  I would rate this business with 0 stars – only because I can’t put up a negative number. Affordable American Roofing recently changed their name from Multi-Plex Development, LLC. Principal officer/CEO is Shawn Spears. As Multi-Plex, I contracted with them to do two significant home improvement projects, totaling over $50K. Part of the first job was to replace all of my old windows with new, energy efficient replacement windows. When this was done, most of the windows leaked light and air between the sash and frame. When I pointed this out to Shawn, he promised me that he would rectify while he was performing under a second contract I signed with him, to build a sunroom addition. Because (against my specific instruction not to) he hired the same subcontractor who did a terrible job installing my windows, to do the foundation and framing of the sunroom, there were significant problems with construction of the sunroom. There were numerous failed inspections and Shawn claims to have overrun costs by over $3,000. After being six months beyond his proposed completion date, he walked off the job without finishing it, forcing me to hire other contractors to complete work, and fix the numerous quality problems. I am still dealing with some of the quality issues from the project, specifically, I still get water into the sunroom through an incorrectly installed door. I would not recommend this contractor, and I certainly would caution not to pay for work until it is done completely and correctly – good luck!

  They were on time, very professional.Quality work at affordable prices. I would not hesitate to use them again. I recommend them to everyone.
