Excellent work! Had some concerns about how I’d get my remodeling project done. Adam was great and shared some ideas I hadn’t considered. They worked efficiently and even knocked a few days off of our original estimated timeline. Most importantly he got my old lady off my back! 5 out of 5 stars!!

I worked with Adam to have an egress window installed in the basement office. He was responsive and professional. The estimate was spot on and pricing was reasonable.

The window was installed and completed in a shorter period of time than I expected. The difference in the amount of light coming into the room is fantastic. My stepson loves his new bedroom.

I plan on using Adam and his team for future projects.

I worked with Adam on a garage addition and great room fireplace addition project. His initial follow-up and honesty was greatly appreciated. I work in the construction industry but primarily in new home market so I knew I needed someone with experience in used homes. Adam made me comfortable with the scope of the project and his advice and options when opportunities arose are a few reasons why I would recommend him to anyone! Adam and his team did not cut corners always communicated with me and were extremely patient when I changed my mind or wanted to add to the scope of the project. Building a home or doing a remodel is extremely difficult because you’re doing it right in front of the customer. Adam Is a genuine guy with a great passion for his business, people and quality work!!!

I have used AF Construction to do several projects in and around my home. Their work is second to none, and I couldn't be happier. Adam is a talented builder and remodeler and I am fortunate to have found a reliable and trustworthy contractor to help with all my building needs.

Best contractor ever.  Did a lot of work over 10 years for my family.  Honest, professional, polite, courteous and walks you through the process step by step.  Payments terms are great and easy to arrange.  All work has been perfect with attention to detail.  AF Construction and staff are very prompt as well.  You will not find harder workers for as reasonable a cost.

Adam, Jason and the entire AF Construction team did a great job on my home's siding and patio door.

Our reviews for this contractor were less than favorable. He appeared to be an excellent choice for framing our bathroom wall, in preparation of our conversion from a tub/shower to shower. He is soft-spoken and indicated interest in taking our project on.
Once he received a lump sum of money, things went downhill with scheduling issues, skeleton staff and difficulties finding people to work for him on our project. Delays were the norm from the beginning. We were patient but grew weary after several weeks of uncertainty about completion dates and whixh days he would work on our project.

He arrived on scene on the first day and was paid a down payment for intended services. From that point on the process of working with said contractor was at best challenging, as, it related to time management, delegation of duties and maintaining staff to complete our project.

His inabiliry to show up as promised, due to other building obligations, left my wife and me  with an unfinished project, exposed ductwork that he was paid to drywall and paint. The bathroom framing was crooked and left us with an opening near the wall, tgat ge promised to close.

Our bathroom was framed and then abandoned, because he wanted more money or all of his remaining money, despite a downpayment and $500.00 that we paid him for his supplies and an advance for framing the bathroom wall.

One full week passed without any one from his company showing up to complete work. When asked why he said he was overwhemed with projects, very busy and could not work on our project for another week. My wife and he had heated words about his continued failure to show as promised.

They talked things over and contractor apologized for saying he was busy with a 40k project. He agreed that  our project was as important as his "fricking" $40k project and he promised to come on 01/23 to finish and receive payment.

On Sunday 1/22; said contractor emailed a letter to advise us that he was quitting and requested full compensation, despite not finishing the work that we agreed to in the contract. The whole in the ceiling was brought to his attention. (That job is incomplete and paid for). He left two rooms in an unfinished state, plus drywall, wood and other items in sprawled in our garage.

Buyers beware because everything that glitters is not always gold. We are so disappointed and are left to hire someone to finish said contractors' job.

Thank you for taking the time to write us a review and I am sorry that you are so unhappy with your experience.  I would like to take the time to clarify some of your concerns.  You had Two projects.  The First project was a bathroom on the second floor of your home, which involved a conversion of a tub shower, into a walk in shower.  The second job was to enlarge your 1st floor bathroom.  Let me back up a second here, from the very initial contact with the clients, I said that we were extremely busy, but that I would have some down time for their project in between our current jobs.  With that being said, they agreed to that statement on multiple circumstances.  In the contract, That they signed, it clearly states that,"Occasionally, our schedule needs adjusting due to weather, job delays, illness, back ordered materials, etc.  If any of such items are to occur, you will be notified."  As we completed their first bathroom project on the second floor, they were extremely happy and satisfied.  We were complemented and recommended to some friends of theirs upon completion.  We where paid up front on this project and paid for the extra work that was added to that project.  The first contract was paid for and satisfied.  During the time of the 1st project we were enlightened with the holidays and time off during the months of December and the beginning part of January.  Another section in the contract under Performance reads; The work to be performed under this contract shall commence within 3-6 weeks following the last to occur of the execution of this contract or satisfaction of all contingencies.  The work shall be substantially completed within “Letter B” days of commencement, except if contractor shall be prevented from completing the work by reason of a change in the plans or specifications requested by customer, inability to obtain, late delivery, or delayed installation of any allowance item selected by customer or acts of customer, strikes, weather conditions, storms, lighting, hail, flood or other conditions or occurrences similar to the foregoing which are not within the control of the contractor.
Which Leads us to the Second bathroom project, client had made an agreement to pay AF Construction with the release of funds from another source.  Also, agreed to start the job after the beginning of the year, due to holidays.  During this time frame, we had an unruly amount of terrible weather, freezing rain.  The clients lived on top of the hill and that made every sliver of rain impossible to navigate up the hill.  The client was sympathetic to these concerns as well.  During this time we managed to "work" with the clients schedule, since we were only hired to do the framing and the drywall finishing.  Which meant that we needed to wait for the plumbing and electrical work to be completed and inspected.  With these other tasks to be performed, took time and there was no guarantees that it would be performed in a timely manner..  I told the client that we weren't going to be able to make it last week after inspections and the client said that I was fired and many insulting facts were said, she hung up on me, then called me back 15 mins later to try and rectify her actions towards me.  I took some time over the weekend and conversed with some colleagues and came to the conclusion that I don't want to work for someone who doesn't act in a professional behavior and has no respect for me.  I have multiple pictures of finished work and compliments from the client to back any of these untruthful statements above.  I have made attempts to receive monies for the completed work for the second project and I have adjusted the invoice to reflect any unfinished work not completed.  I am saddened that someone would try to do such a cruel thing publicly.

Best kept secret in the Madison area! Adam and his team are all great to work with. I can't be happier with their work.

AF Construction install a new from entry door and replaced the leaking flashing around my chimney.  They did a great job on both!!  I can only give them my highest rating.
