Had some wind damage to one of the corners of my roof. Not a lot but enough that we were worried about eventual water damage. Worked with other roofers who seemingly didn't want such a "small" job. Another wind storm and more shingles blown off. Advanced knocked on the door and said that he looked at the roof and that it would be an easy fix. I was skeptical but they were the first company who said they would actually repair the damage instead of try to work with the insurance for a complete shingle replacement. He said that he would have a contractor out within a week to make the repairs. We left the next morning to run errands, by the time we came back the roof was fixed and a note was hanging on the door. The work looks flawless and professional and they color matched to the existing shingles. We are very satisfied customers! Thank you for the quality work!

My mother hired Doug to do a full replacement on her roof. The first issue I had with this guy was when he showed up at her house while she was away and dropped off sheets of plywood and a carrier full of nails on top of her wood pile on the side of the house. He called later to tell her he did this. Ok, but I wouldn't want someone just showing up. He scheduled the work for a Saturday, which had to be canclcanc due to weather. Rescheduled now for a Monday at 9 a.m. crew showed up at 7. And it's not even Doug. Turns out he sub contracted this job out to someone else. That's fine, but he never called to let her know this nor did he return any of her calls or texts as to why these people were here. It also was not done in a day like he said. Two guys came back the next day to finish off the top of the roof and we're here for the better part of all day. Weren't very thorough on cleaning up. I went around with a magnet of my own in the driveway and found a handful of nails still laying around. Then a guy shows up a week later, I have no idea who he is or why he's in the driveway. Walking out I ask if I can help him and the man acted like he couldn't understand why I'm asking questions. He told me Doug would be by in a few to look over the work and to finish up. ??? Wasn't this done last week and why wouldn't he come by to make sure the work was done then? I texted my mother to ask her if she knew he was coming by only to be told that Doug hasn't contacted her for anything nor return messages. When Doug came I asked him to take all his plywood he dropped (that was never used for what he said it should have been used for) and tograb his tote of nails and to take the two pallets that we're sitting in the driveway that had all the supplies. I just want to say I firmly believe that this guy would have taken any of the left over shingles, storm shield, and any other supplies that were left over if I hadn't moved them into the garage the weekend before. He did take the box of roofing nails. Um, hello? My mother paid for all those supplies, and if you ask me it was way over priced. He shoukshou be taking any of that, just the stuff he dropped. And who shows up at a house to crawl around it and not let the homeowners know he is coming? Screams shady people. Also, he finally called only to let her knowkhow much she still owed. The man jacked it up about $300 than what he quoted her. When she called him out on ot he acted as if she heard him wrong and then gave the correct amount. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Very unprofessional, very sneaky. When looking for a roofer, scroll right past this one.

WARNING: DO NOT USE THIS ROOFER!!! I highly advise finding another company that takes pride in and stands behind their work (and crew) and truly believes in customer satisfaction. We had a full roof replaced (complete tear off) done and paid for in June 2014. Two weeks later, my husband needed to use his chain saw and discovered it (and the case) missing. No other workers had been at our house in those two weeks. My husband called Doug Charles to make him aware of the situation. My husband stated that his crew was the only crew here and that the saw had been used just prior to the crew being here. Note, there were multiple other issues on Advanced Roofing Solutions part as well. They delivered the wrong shingles, the work was delayed another day, they needed to come back on a Saturday, a skeleton crew showed up, without a manager, and neither my husband nor I were home. My father was there, called us, and made us aware about the skeleton crew and no supervisor, but unfortunately had to leave for an appointment while the roofers were already underway. My husband attempted to get a hold of Doug at that time with no call back. Upon talking to Doug (two weeks later) regarding the missing chain saw and case, Doug verbatim said "Uh-oh... okay. Let me talk to my guys." It gave my husband the impression this was not the first time property had gone missing with his workers. My husband pointedly asked Doug who the crew was who worked on our roof and Doug was unable to answer. He could not even verify his workers on the job site. Eventually, after several phone calls, Doug asked my husband to send the receipts for the saw and case. We believed he was going to make this situation right. My husband sent a copy of the original receipt, which I had purchased for him as a gift. It was bought in 2008 for $415. My husband had used it 4 times. Two more follow up phone calls later, a check for $150 showed up in our mailbox. Clearly not enough to replace a quality piece of equipment. We were flexible and forgiving about the shingles and delay that occurred during this process. But stealing personal property is unacceptable and a criminal act. Doug was dismissive and did very little to rectify things. For us, $415 is a lot of money (not to mention a new roof). For a roofing company, this is something they likely have insurance for or, at the least, is something they could write off. Please be warned when using this company. And again, find an owner that takes pride in and stands behind their work, will vouch for their crew, and believes in righting wrongs. At this point, it is too early to tell the quality of the work that was done. If there are any issues, I will update this post.
