  Initial consultation in Fall 2020 was with Kevin, that was a positive professional experience. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. Job was to demo existing roof, install new roof with open valleys (Kevin agreed at initial consultation and First Choice was reminded several times by text message and email) and repair/seal box gutters. The crew that he scheduled did not speak English and there wasn’t a translator present for the first 2 days. There was a miscommunication between Kevin and his foreman and they did not install open valleys as requested. I looked up a few phrases in Spanish to ask them to send me photos of the open roof, which they did. The crew was really nice, hard working but likely over-scheduled so in a hurry, unfortunately they were in such a hurry that they had our roof open through a rainstorm which left water in a few light fixtures on the second floor. Luckily our house does not yet have insulation in the attic or everything would have been soaked. I called to complain about this and the lack of open valleys and Kevin was very apologetic. We reached an agreement to lower the price, which I thought was fair and that was hopefully the end of it. Fast forward several months to this winter (Jan/Feb2021) and our "repaired and sealed" box gutters are still leaking between the house and the gutter, we had ice pouring out of a few of the repaired areas so they do not appear to be sealed (or if they are sealed, not draining towards the downspout), some interior damage to plaster walls/ceiling, exterior photo attached for reference. I contacted their office with photos and sent a photo to Kevin (no reply) to ask them to actually fix the gutters, and they sent Pedro to take a look, with no notice of the visit, I literally looked out a window and noticed a guy on a ladder. Now that the weather is nicer, we have not heard back from First Choice, but that's likely better because I have very little confidence in them being able to repair as advertised. The guys were nice, I hate to leave a bad review but the whole project was poorly managed, rushed, and communication was lacking.

  Hello my name is Anthony, recently I was looking to have a major exterior make over on our home. I began with online research for local companies in the Pittsburgh and Beaver County area. I attended both the Pittsburgh Home Expo and the Home and Garden Show. My family and I interviewed 6 (six) Contractors, I reviewed complement and complaint statements from Angies List, BBB and various contractor websites. After several weeks of careful review and consideration we decided to hire First Choice Home Improvements to replace the roof, soffit facia, vinyl siding on the top front, and eleven windows. The reason for selecting First Choice, was Kevin Elliott the company manager sat with my family and in detail communicated the quality of every product with confidence and expertise, including the type of nails that would be used on the shingles. Gauge of aluminum for the gutters, premium siding, and the triple pane windows durability and energy saving features. The most impressive detail of this make over was the craftsmanship of Manny, the roofer, soffit facia and siding installer. Bill aka tin man and crew, the window installers. They exceeded my expectations, the price, quality of work, I know we received much much more than our monies worth. Awesome job First Choice Home Improvements, we thank you. Sincerely, Anthony

  Kevin came out and was very informative of the work that would be performed. I had other Contractors come in and all they did was give me a price and did not go into detail like Kevin from First Choice Home Improvements. I was originally told it would be 4 weeks before install, to my surprise I received a call 2 weeks later for the install. The workers were great, very respectful and cleaned up wonderfully. My roof looks beautiful. This is a company that cares about their customers. I would definitely refer First Choice Home Improvements to anyone.
