  Bought a house that they installed the roof on before I purchased...roof about 8 years old. I had new gutters installed roughly 8-9 months after purchase of home. 3 weeks after gutter installation I had a leak. Called pro tech...was called back within a couple hours and the owner came out the next afternoon, blamed the gutter installation and “fixed” the issue. At first impression, seemed like great people, called me back late at night when I was in a bind and came out at his first availability, so I was very appreciative. Before he left I was told to call anytime I need anything and he would be glad to help me. So a month or two goes by, I start having another leak in a different spot...call them multiple times, won’t answer and won’t return calls even after I left multiple voicemails. Found someone else to come try to fix the issue, within a week the original leak returns. I call pro tech SEVERAL times, no answer no return calls, they have their nephew or some distant relative to call me who clearly doesn’t want anything to do with helping me out. Get told they’ll come out, never shows up. I CALL AND CALL AND CALL, LEAVE MULTIPLE VOICEMAILS AGAIN, finally CINDY calls me late one evening on a Thursday, continues to tell me how busy they are at the beach but either her, or her nephew, her husband, or her son will contact me in the next couple of days or early the next week to come look at my roof. I pretty much PLEAD to have them come look at it, even say I will gladly pay them, I just need someone who knows what they’re doing to come look at it and tell me what I need to do to fix it. It has now been at least 8 weeks since I have heard a word from any of them. Do not deal with these folks if you live around the Hickory area. They will not return your calls, will not stand behind their work, will not answer the phone and will lie to you. I don’t ever leave reviews like this because I believe things happen and certain situations can’t be controlled, but they have had more than enough time and opportunities to either help me or at least be honest and just tell me they don’t want to deal with me anymore. If you’re too busy in another area and can’t cover the area that most of your business started in you need to be up front with folks.

  1) This roof was damaged by gutter guard installers 2) This roof has no warranty on it because it I didn’t roof it for the Clark’s and because the Clark’s have had other people on the roof . No problem with roof for 8 years and then when you have gutter guards installed it leaks

  Pro Tech Roofing did an excellent job installing a roof on our 4k SQ home 6 years ago. Recently we noticed a leak around the fireplace and realized there was a problem with the metal part around the roof on top of the shingles. I have called and left messages everyday for the last 2 weeks with no response for someone to come out to look at the roof, or advise us what we need to do to resolve the issue. I'm sure it is a minor problem, but since Pro Tech installed the roof it would be nice to continue working with them. I spoke with Cindy one time; she was polite and promised to contact me the next day that was 2 weeks ago. I hope we will be able to resolve this issue together, that would be the professional way to handle it. Linda Gaines This is an update to my original post. 3/17/2020. Our leak continues to leak and now the fireplace has major damage due to the unresolved issues from Pro Tech not coming out or even returning phone calls to see what might be done. I would have been eager to go 50/50 to know that this company is professional enough to care about their customers. Would not recommend to anyone even though many friends have ask who put our roof on. I tell them don't use this company.

  Great communication, the owner of the company came out to my mother's house to look at scope of work and gave me a quote for repairs on the spot. Also, scheduled a date and work was performed as scheduled in a very professional manner. Thanks for taking care of an elderly person with confidence of work performed.
