  Won't fulfill warranty, answer questions, or return calls. This company installed the metal roof on my home 1.5 (one and one half) years ago. Instead of removing a nonfunctioning vent (was part of the old stove before kitchen renovation), they cut a hole in the metal panel to fit it around the vent. There is now a large leak causing water damage to the ceiling in the kitchen. I called and left a voicemail inquiring if there was any sort of warranty or if he would be willing to provide an estimate for the repair work. After several days of no response, my boyfriend called and left a voicemail pretending to need a new roof and received a call back almost immediately. My boyfriend told him about the leak and when he asked if there was any warranty on the previous work, they said they will look into it and get right back to him. We didn't hear anything for several weeks and have tried several times to reach someone since then, with no response. I have received estimates from two other roofing companies here in Gainesville, and both stated the vent should have been removed and now those metal panels must be replaced.

  Robert has done several repairs on our roof that the original roofing company failed to repair. We spent 13 thousand dollars on a metal roof with all new wood etc. From day one we had multiple leaks which the installer company failed to repair after several attempts. Robert showed up on time and repaired all the leaks for a very reasonable price. Since then we have had him replace our 30 foot shed roof and many other projects around both our homes. I would recommend him a thousand percent. Getting a new metal roof Requires a Permit to have done to code. It requires the old roof be totally removed. Sadly many companies will slap the metal over the old rotted wood and shingles which is much cheaper but not safe.

  Just had work done by American Roofing, saw the reviews online and thought I should set the record straight from my perspective since I have had them do multiple jobs for me over several years. Let's start with: Excellent quality Service and reasonable pricing. Had a leak at my previous home from an improperly installed dryer vent - Jim came out, assessed it and fixed it on the spot - that was 5 years ago and I have not had any issues since. Three years ago I called him out to fix a bad leak at my mother's home and again he did a great job, assessing, removing the bad area and repairing the roof and ceiling - today that room which she had written off as a complete loss is now a focal point of her home and is enjoyed daily. I just had Jim over last week to re-roof the flat roof over our porch and sun room at our new home and again he was prompt, professional and got the job done in a timely manner that was not invasive to our daily lives. I highly recommend Jim and American Roofing!
