I am an out-of-town contractor who needed emergency gutter material. I called and asked for the price per pound on the gutter stock and was quoted $2.65 per pound. This is a fair and reasonable price in my mind and I drove 41 miles to the store to pick up the material I was halfway between Sadelia and Columbia on I 70. When I arrived, I learned that there was an additional $20 charge for “a cutting fee“ that was added to all gutter sales. I asked why this was not explained to me on the phone and was referred to a very rude woman, who refused to give me her name, but claimed to be the owners daughter. She said it’s part of doing business. We have to make up the cost of the warehouse workers somewhere. I said that is fine, but would’ve liked to have been informed before I chose to drive this direction. In the end, her sister stepped in and refunded the $20 cutting charge, but she continued to be rude. I would drive 100 miles out of my way to avoid ever using the supply warehouse again. Contractors beware of their hidden costs.

I under stand that lumber is hard to get right now but we ordered standard boards and material for a 10×15 deck on June 4th. We were told it would be a few weeks before it would be in and after several phone calls and u returned calls we have never gotten our any lumber. As far as the offer to get the lumber that came in Monday no thank you. My husband came in earlier today and was told that you didnt have all the supplies so he cancled our order and we will try another company.

I understand the frustrations that you are feeling. Believe me from a business stand point we would much rather have the product here to ship out. We are still currently experiencing allocation in treated lumber unfortunately . We are receiving orders from the treatment plant that we ordered in June and July. We did have an order of deck boards that delivered on Monday. If you are still interested please contact us and we can let you know if the order can be fulfilled.
