Floyd did a good job repairing and reroofing my pumphouse.  He was quick to the job after estimate, and quick to finish up.  I can highly recommend him to do roofing at a fair price and in a professional manner.

I gave him a call and he was able to meet me within 24 hours.  The roof had several issues with leaks between two additions and  leaks along the tiles along the perimeter of the main structure.
Floyd and his crew replaced the roof on the main structure with new composition rolled on roofing and sealed with the torch method. He sealed.all the tiles, replaced water damaged decking and fascia and primed and painted those areas.  He sealed in between the building additions from the roof to the ground.
I feel like I received a great value for what I was charged for the repairs.  He completed the work within three days and left the site clean.  Floyd has been in the roofing business for several years and I can highly recommend him.

A few years ago, I had a leak in my roof with water coming through the laundry room ceiling, and initially called the contractor who had installed it to get an estimate for repairs. The estimate seemed high and the scope of work seemed deliberately narrow - I was told that the dryer vent needed to be replaced and that there was "no way to know for sure" if that would actually stop the leak. So, I would need to keep an eye on things when it rained and call them back out if the leak persisted. Even though the company had a decent reputation, the rep seemed to be less than trustworthy, to be polite.
I found Floyd Heggie Roofing on Yelp and decided to give him a call. I was immediately impressed! After his inspection of the leak inside and the roof, his opinion was that the dryer vent did not need to be replaced, rather the area around it needed to be sealed. As water can obviously do lots of traveling before finally leaking through, he could not say 100% for certain that the dryer vent area was the culprit, although it seemed likely. There were a few other vents in the general area, and his recommendation was to go ahead and seal all of those as well, on the off chance that the dryer vent wasn't the problem. His estimate was very reasonable (less than the other company, even excluding the unnecessary new vent) and the recommended work eliminated the problem, instead of potentially setting me up for repeated service calls.

When I recently purchased a new home, the inspection uncovered a few roof related items. The seller said they could not find anyone to do the repairs, possibly due to the steep pitch, but I knew exactly who to call. Once again, Floyd came through and installed a new fresh air vent for the fireplace and a new dryer vent, as well as taking a good look at the roof overall. Floyd takes excellent care of his customers and it is evident that he takes pride in his work. I have already recommended him to several friends and will continue to do so.

Floyd did great work for me.  We were having problems with squirrels making holes in the roof eaves and getting into attic of my two story home.  The roof is very steep and I did not feel comfortable getting on the roof.  Floyd had no problems with the roof slope.  He fixed 4 holes and replaced the flashing around the chimney.  He is an honest man who stood by his initial quote (reasonable price) though he had to do extra work once he got on the roof and got a better look at the damage.  He is a sole proprietor looking to honest work without ripping people off.  He also clean up after his work.  Highly recommend.

I had Floyd & company install a complete new roof - including ripping out the old roof and a second layer of wood shingles (as well as what turned out to be bad plywood sub-roofing). He walked me through every step of the process, from free estimate to final clean-up, and I couldn't be more satisfied. Floyd is one of those rare honest contractors that isn't in too much of a hurry to listen to his customers and really give them the information they need to feel good about the whole process. He is reasonable, uses professional workmen, and after having him do another smaller job recently, I can say that he will be there when you need his help, even if it isn't making him a lot of money. I really cannot recommend Floyd Heggie Roofing strongly enough. He's also a friendly guy and nice to talk to.

I have used Floyd Heggie 3 times in the past year,once for my residence, and twice for my business. He has been wonderful all 3 times. My roof had a leak which ruined the ceiling in one of the rooms of my house. My wife got contacted Floyd Heggie to replace our roof. The man got sick the day of, can't blame him for that, and I thank him for calling and letting us know. It took them only a day and a half to replace my entire roof. I was very pleased with the quality of service. They also had the ceiling repaired at no extra charge and a place where a support beam came through my all in my living room during the roofing. Floyd Heggie Roofing and Repair was a God sent! Needed some missing shingles replaced pending the sale of our home. I called Mr. Heggie on Friday and the next morning he and his worker showed up on time to complete the work as scheduled! Professional, honest, reliable and they did an amazing job for a very reasonable price! I would not hesitate to use them again!

I contacted Floyd last June about a small leak in my roof. The roof only leaks during heavy rain, and there is no visible damage on my roof. Floyd advised me that he could still tell where the leak was coming from and that he would be able to patch it. Floyd did work on my roof, and I paid him $475, but the problem was not fixed. I proceeded to call him the next three times I had heavy rain and it leaked (in the same spot), two of the times he came out and tried to fix it again, then on the third time he told me he needed to get more supplies and that he would be back out that Friday. Well he never came back. Floyd has also stopped answering my calls. My ceiling now has a hole in it and l likely have mold in my attic due to having a reocurring leak for 5 months. Now not only am I out the  $475 I paid Floyd to fix my roof but I now have to pay for another roofer to come out, and I'm going to have to pay to get my ceiling fixed and to get the mold removed.

When I called Floyd Heggie, he was not only personable, but he also was wiling to come out and look at my roof within two days.  He was right on time and explained clearly where he believed my leaking was coming from. He came out the very next afternoon and repaired my roof.  He also told me to wait until we had a heavy rain before repairing the bubbles in my livingroom ceiling and if there were any more leaks in that area, he would be out right away to resolve the problem.  He is a very honest person and I'm glad I called him to repair my roof. I would recommend him without any reservations.

I've used Floyd Heggie roofing for several years now.   Floyd has always been flexible to meet my work schedule and is always on time (unlike many contractors).   He has been very honest with me over the years and, as a single woman, he could have tried to take advantage of that but he actually even quoted me once for a repair of around $500, and when he finished the job he told me it was only $300 because the job didn't take as much as he initially thought that it would.   That speaks volumes about his honesty.  He's not out to cheat people or say that repairs are needed of which are not.   I have a tile roof (stucco house) and he has been a life saver when I get an occasional unexpected leak from a cracked tile.   I would highly recommend him to anyone based on his honesty and his promptness while not taking financial advantage of "emergency" situations.

Been fighting a ceiling leak for 22 years....numerous roofers and repairs during that time. New roof 5 years ago...temporarily stopped. That company used the old flashing which was now rusted out. Called large companies with recommendations I had gotten off FB...guess the job wasn't big enough since they never bothered to even call back. My son had used Floyd on one of his rentals and even tho I live far Floyd came out because of that. Finally! Finally, someone not just repaired (caulked) the flashing but replaced it and re -shingled around the chimney.

Last month I lost a section of roof tiles during one our recent Texas storms. I got Mr. Heggie’s number when he repaired my neighbor’s roof in the La Cantera neighborhood

My Wife called Mr. Heggie who came out quickly assessed the repair and gave a very fair estimate to do the roof repair. While there we asked him to give a quote to replace 2 malfunctioning heat turbines on the roof. Again Mr. Heggie came in with a very fair quote.

Once contracted Mr. Higgie was prompt he accomplished the repair within a couple of days of his first visit and I thought he did a great job in matching and aligning the existing shingles. One of the Turbines he installed had a slight problem with the turbine and Mr. Heggie came right back out within a couple of days and corrected the turbine. Please note that I have a 12:12 pitch roof which is very tall and reaching these turbines is no small task.

An issue I have had with other vendors be it Automotive, or home repair. For some reason they cannot seem to give a decent quote when dealing with my wife. There is suddenly much more work to be done and / or the price is very high. I did not experience this phenomenon with Floyd. He came out dealt directly with my wife and gave us a more than fair quote without any unnecessary up-sale.

I highly recommend Floyd Heggie he has proven that he is prompt, his price is very fair and he stands behind the work that he does. It is refreshing to find a roofer who is willing to do small to medium sized repairs, quickly and who is trustworthy enough to give a fair quote to either member of the household.

During the spring rains I checked my attic for leaks. There was water streaming in from a corner of the chimney.  Floyd Heggie was recommended by a relative, so I called him.  He immediately answered the phone, came quickly to assess the problem, offered a fair bid and completed the job well- all within three days.  He took photos of the problem before and of the repair afterwards so it was clear what he had done without having to climb on the roof myself to see.  I highly recommend him.

Floyd is pleasant to work with and performed the work as promised ahead of schedule. I have an old red tile roof and he was able to find the matching tiles. Another roofing company gave him high marks as well.
