    Outstanding!! We purchased one of Castlerock’s homes and could not be happier! Josh was so easy to work with and he has been quick to respond to any of our concerns. Our home is absolutely beautiful with details we would not have thought of, all thanks to Josh. We had one issue with the grout after being in the home for a month, but Josh had someone over that week to address the problem. Brittany (in the office) has always been quick to respond and so polite, whenever we reached out to her during the process. After having such a positive experience with Castlerock, my husband and I would highly recommend!!

    My husband and I have bought and sold so many homes, and have built two homes. We have never encountered the arrogance and disrespect my son and daughter-in-law received after making a FULL PRICE offer on a home in Park Place, + 5k over to compensate for the ask of completing the theater room, which they told us would be 2k, and a fridge allowance since they did not provide one. Their offer was contingent on the sale of their home, which they were about to list. I could think of no reason this offer would not be accepted. Boy were we wrong!! Their offer was met with hostility and an unreasonable counter of they had to pay a NONREFUNDABLE deposit of 3k and if they did not sell their home in 72 hours Castlerock could accept other offers and my kids would not only be out the home but also their deposit. My kids did not accept or counter this offer yet Josh came back with a counter to his own counter saying they had to now pay a 4k NONREFUNDABLE deposit!! WTH!! Needless to say they have no intentions of EVER buying or building a Castlerock home! Oh and their home sold in less than 12 hours. I am a complete loss as to why Josh was so incredibly rude to these potential buyers! TERRIBLE salesmanship!! It is evident to me Castlerock doesn't want to sell their homes.

    Julia, we are sorry your children did not get into our home. We are not sure where your children encountered arrogance and disrespect, when we have never met with them, or talked with them. We only worked through their Realtor on this offer. Just because the contract is written above asking price, does not make it above a full price offer, because of the concessions included in their offer. In your children's situation, they did make an offer above asking price, but with all of the concessions, their offer was approximately $10,700.00 below asking pricing. We only gave one counter offer, that went to their agent. The counter offer that we presented did NOT have a 72 hour active time clause included however we had, had a conversation with your children's realtor briefly about putting one in, which would have meant, we were able to continue to market the property while they were trying to sell their home. If we would have received a second offer during this time period, then your children would have had 72 hours to then remove their contingency, and start moving forward for closing on our home, and then put down the additional nonrefundable considerations at that time. Our home was 99% complete and accepting such an offer for us is risk in our current market. While we were talking back and forth with your children's agent another offer had come in to us, so instead of countering with a 72 hour active time clause, it made the most sense for us to then just be more aggressive on the counter offer, and give your children the first opportunity to get into our home, without us taking on the risk of their home not to sell and letting our other offer go, which we would and did net a higher price on and also close at a quicker date. It sounds as if maybe your children didn't understand our intention of bringing their offer to a be closer to the offer we had sitting on our desk and our efforts to give them the opportunity to get into our home first. The secondary offer still did net us more than the counter offer we presented to the your children through their realtor. We can completely understand now, how this would seem confusing, because we were having conversations with their realtor about what our thoughts were, but all things changed once we received a second offer. Realtors often talk to one another about thoughts on how to make a transaction work without disclosing information that could hurt their client/family. Their was also confusion on our part, because their Realtor had told us he was listing their home in the next week, for approx 170 to 180 thousand dollars and we had found their home on zillow listed for $199,000.00. We are happy to hear that they were able to sell their home so quickly, and we are so sorry that they were unable to get into our home and we have recently heard they were able to find and buy another home, and we want to congratulate them for their successes.

    Castle Rock built our home in 2018 and it was the Parade of Homes build for them that year. We have lived in it for a year now. Castle Rock does a great job putting a home together. The floorplan and the way they visualize the end product is very esthetic and pleasing. Josh Higley (Owner) is honest and kind and means well and has a good staff. The finish work is very high quality in the house. I am giving a rating of 4 stars because of a few factors. 1- The backfill on the home was done very poorly and has had to be redone several times and needs to be done again. 2- The warranty work was done timely by Josh's personal staff, but we had a very hard time getting his subcontractors back. In fact we are still waiting on two of them to return after months. 3- The water pressure is very poor in our home and we just installed a pressure booster which made a huge difference. This is something that should be addressed in a high end custom home. We waited until our warranty was expired to fix this. 4- The tile guy did a half-hearted job and we have had many problems with the grout cracking and chipping. I feel a 4 star review is very fair and accurate. In the world of construction and subcontractors I feel like there are very few 5 star performances. So many workers show up whenever they want to and take forever to get things done. Josh's warranty crew went above and beyond on the list to make our home the best it could be. So considering that, a 4 star review is a solid performance for the crew at Castle Rock.
